Hey guys,
I have a Dynaflow regulator coming in the mail that I would like to get re-annoed with my gun.

Would re-annoing the regulator body and regulator top possibly cause any problems (sealing, etc)?

Thanks,
Kyle

As with anything anytime something is re-annoed there is a possibility of tolerance issues. Give Dennis at Centerflag a call and see what he says.

Personally, I dont think there will be any trouble as long as its not stripped and re annoed more than once.

I sent him an email. Thanks.

I'm no anno expert, but is there anyway to keep the stripping/anno away from the threads and still anno the body?

Well, masking will cost you. Keeping the threads protected might not help you, since sealing them would probably be fairly easy. It's the areas that are flat and smooth where you would probably run into problems IMO.

Ok thanks. I'll await Dennis' reply.

Here's what Dennis said:

Ok this can be done, but make sure that it is bright dip anodize and
check all the oring surface to make sure of any damage. stripping can
damage the oring surface and seat pin area. Seat Pin area is the most
important to watch.
Dennis
Not really sure what the seat pin area is that he is referring to (according to the schematics). And bright drip anodize, is that something special I have to request?

I would say that that's the area where the pin goes into the tapered hole.
Here (outlined in light blue):

Damn he e-mailed you back fast. I sent him an e-mail about getting a 420 SV installed over a week ago and he has yet to respond. :wall:

Sounds a bit risky. I think I may just leave it as is.

I talked with a store owner that carries centerflag products (it was during a game of COD4 on the field's server) he said that Dennis dosn't answer the phone much anymore. Luckly the brick and mortar shop (apperently) has 420 sv's in stock so I'm just going to go there this weekend and get one.

Kinda sad to hear he's burining out...his products are nice.
