Total Awesomeness. I knew someone on the 13th had that PK Select annoed Emag. Is it the same one I put in the gallery? LMK and I will update the specs.

Yup End Game. Dan's been a team sponsor since we first got started, nice guy, great products, cool looking barrels. You should see the one he did up for my AT-85.
I have come to find out that the green excal was a CrazyIvan anno from years back, seems he fell off the face of the earth some time ago like so many others from the early AKA days.
Big Evil thats the same Tunamag you have up in the gallery. At lasts years Polar Bear/Penquin game I was shooting it and yapping with Tuna about it. He said something about breaking my fingers if I scratched it or sold it without his permission. I think he was kidding

I remember him telling me that. I dont think he was kidding. He's threatened me about scratching my Etac and my brother about his PK emag too.

I'd almost have to put a scratch on it in a place you'd never see. Like inside the frame. :oneear:

The one I acquired has what looks like Scotch Brite in it. Could be someone's aftermarket way of making it sound different.

Just a piece of foam or you can fill it with whatever, tissue paper/maxi pads/dirty socks :evillaugh:
The barrel is ported and then the shroud, which is ported as well, screws over top. With good paint to barrel match they shoot real nice and have a distinct sound signature, kinda like the old days when everyone had a hunk of PVC attached to the end of their pump gun.

I keep trying to pick up a Revenge with a slider but no luck so far, there was one on MCB not long ago but it slipped away. Seems like UThomas and I share common taste in guns, good taste too I might add, and my timing as of late has been pretty good.

AKAOG and DC's site are both down due to some server issues.
The AKA bug ranks up there with the ones that come with AGD and PPS markers.

That's my 03 with it... psych you have my permission to use any of those pics if you feel the need to do so. I just got a JMJ Featherlight with a nice green/black acid wash... gonna get some decent photos of it shot and then I'll be back. ATach... for sure you should pick one up. Although it may do bad things for your AGD habit.
I've felt the AKA bug coming on strong lately. Just found a Revenge V2 LE (also green and black wash) as well for a nice price, and SplatAttack had an extra slider frame (or two, wink wink) for it so it's gonna get hooked up right when I'm done. CAlled them on a whim and got lucky. Of course I'll hang onto the original hinge frame as well. So I'll wait for it and then shoot all my AKA children for you all to see. Lol I also got a 04 Unmilled in a trade recently... thinking about enlisting DC to carve it. We'll see. I loove playing this JMJ Viking. Had to fill the void left by that gorgeous orange DC. Take care of her!

Excal, by far. Z-man had shot my vikings and thought they were okay, but once he touched the excal it was game over.
It just has a great feeling to it, that closed-bolt cocker feel. Plus, it has almost zero recoil due to the way it operates. It's hard to describe, but once experienced, hard to live without. That's why I'm back to an excal.

lower left tube is the air chamber for the ram.
right chamber houses the ram and the valve.

The Viking uses internally milled air passages. Those set screws cover the holes that had to be drilled to create the air passages.

It came with a 3 prong tool and some lube. Nothing else really. I was checkin out the AKA site and saw the toolkit, I think I might need to be picking one of those up. Im going to do some searching as im sure i saw a thread for all the possible upgrades on it and what not.
To go from the amount of shots i get on my karta emag to 2000 on a 68/45 is ridiculous. I think this is my new workhorse.
so what would hapen if i decided to re annodize the thing?
Btw, is there a way to change settings on a stock board? Im going to get myself a manual and have this shooting as nice as possible.

If your stock board is a WAS, Pandora, or Tadao, then yes, you can change the settings. I think you can on the old nelson too. ALl the manuals are available online.
If you reanodize it, just keep in mind that it's a type 3 anno, which is harder to strip, so make sure you have a reputable person do it, as a bad removal will screw up the tolerances.
Also, the only upgrades needed are grips, feedneck, and triggers. Trust me, that's all you need to upgrade. Everything else is top notch.
If you have any specific questions, PM me.

There's a reason they are high ;) Look at how much other 04 markers are going for, then look how much the 04 AKA stuff is going for. The only other stuff that holds it's value as well is AGD and Palmers.

I know... Its the main reason why i switched to automags instead of the normal Tippmann/speedball marker in the netherlands. If i had some serious cash laying around, i surely would get one. But with current pricing i'll wait... I love mags, but i don't want to commit a load of cash to something i don't know that well, Even tho they carry a respectable reputation.
But who will know? Maybe i'll pick one up when the deal/mood is right.

The AKA collection is about complete for me... theres one more that I want... a milled excal with eyes. Preferably a Featherlight.
Nice pickup there Fixel... I was eyeing that one over but had to hold off for obvious reasons... Sweet anno and it was listed at a good price... To think of it theres been alot of good AKA guns fs lately... who else just picked up a new piece out there? Lets keep the AKA pics comin... speaking of which lookout for some more shots from me in a separate thread... I'm gonna shoot individuals of my collection once I get a new rail from Rouge.

To be honest i didnt know it was a AKA gun, untill i saw your pics, they are very proffessional. :hail: I recognised the reg to be from AKA, but i wasn't sure who made the marker. I'm not much of a cocker guy, but i loved the anno so i just jumped on it. Knowing it's make by AKA is a real bonus, thanks for letting me know that.

NP dude... my Venge is a smooooth shooter. The slider is probably gonna be even smoother and maybe not quite as quick. Yeah that anno had my eye too, and the Ti 10" w/ matching tip was intriguing to say the least.
I actually picked up a spare slider frame straight from splatattack for just in case I get bored or decide to reanno (not likely). It's gloss black so it won't go perfect with the current anno but you never know... it'd be fun to try out and it's nice to know I've got options I can sit on. I might just switch it out if when it needs retiming. Naturally I wouldn't part out the original frame so I'd just keep both.

You can't go wrong with either. If you are a closed bolt guy then excal... if you prefer the simplicity of open bolt and no chance of rollouts then Viking. I like both but prefer the Viking for my style of play. Considering that my first shot has to count, I am very much weary of rollouts. When I shoot a closed bolt gun I tend to take it easy a lil bit. I still size my bore right either way but meh closed bolt just isn't my natural inclination... considering the field paint I'm often using you can never get it right 100% of the time. What kind of Vik/Excal would you want? Milled ye or ne and year?

I'll see if I can scrounge some up. I'm an excal man all the way, and goodness knows I have shot enough of them. They are more complex than the vikings, though, so if simplicity is your bag, the viking is the one to have.

i didnt mill the frame myself, but it was milled down, it came stock that way, JMJ cut the frame like that for 2 different viking builds, the JMJ factory series, and the Team Darkmatter vikings
but nothing it preventing you from cutting it down yourself, and the trigger is an acid customs #1, and they fit "okay" in the jmj frames. but its still seriously light, and thats the important part

I'd only cut it down if I was goin to reanno, which eh I'm on the fence about. That gun is immaculate so it'd be a shame to expose bare metal. When I use a mask with a flexible lower it doesn't get in the way.

oh of course.. i have every intention of sending my viking to dc fat camp.. and you bet it will be re-annoed before it gets back to me, i know 90% of the cuts are hidden,, but i know they are there, and things look so much more "finished" when they are annoed
the only thing i have on any gun that shows raw aluminum, is the eye hole on my cocker.. other than that, every time a gun gets a mod, it gets color too

Ahahah fat camp. Yeah I couldn't think of much else to change on my JMJ. Maybe a week at fat camp but it's not that bad. I don't like pocket milling or the diet frame treatment personally. The snatch is the only external feature I'd change, but it's funny when I'm shooting in the backyard its in the way. When I'm playing its a non-issue. Too busy trying to shoot people I guess. I'm just not into big snatch grips but I still love that gun. I wish I could try shooting yours to see if that'd make enough of a difference to justify the cost. I'd probably lop the whole thing off... but before I did that it'd be more logical to get a different featherlight (or just keep buying more).

Is there such a thing as a Featherlite FSP Excal?
For some reason I think I recall seeing an R1 featherlite excal, but I might be wrong. The R1 was JMJ's version of the FSP, but it had a thicker, less milled asa, which I always thought was a good idea, since a bad dive with an FSP gun is probably going to snap the asa area right off.
I might be the only one who things this, but I do NOT like FSP cuts. I much prefer the "hidden pocket" milling.

Of all the rare milling varieties that have been further customized I must say that Immortal is by far and away the best. 99% of the custom milled Immortals/Highlanders I see make me think that a disservice has been done to them. Not so by any means with that one. It certainly upholds the original design while adding just enough flare to make it stand out. The crack milling is dead on. I've been meaning to post some more pics of my lot (including the crazy lookin excal we did a deal for)... I will get those up tomorrow if I can find the time at work.

Dark finished lacewood/leopardwood would be nice... or you could go with a smoke set of Dark Seoul panels (which might be a better bet because the wood's grain might be too 'confusing' to look at on that marker's ano)...

I am not to knowledge in the aka world. :)
So this is a frame form a dm/pm on this Bushido?
And is it a FSP body?
Did they sell vikings with FSP body? Or was it an after market upgrade? Because I do not see allot of vikings that looks like the Bushido. (Frame wise)

Yes these are DM/PM UL frames modified to fit Vikings.
It is not an FSP milled body, it is a Tarantula.
The body is originally a JMJ Featherlite and Tarantula milled it to what it looks like now.
To get FSP milling you would need to contact DC. It is an aftermarket milling.

What you need for a Dye UL conversion for a Viking.
PM UL Frame. - Actionvillage is down to 1 left for 99.00.
Then either attempt to modify mounting holes yourself or send in to DC and they will do it for 45.00.
Aluminum mini tray plate. DC will make these for 40.00 or you can attempt to cut your own.
Aftermarket board. I went with the Tadao Yakuza board with an average price of 175.00
Noid Harness. DC sells them for 10.00
Lazer Eyes. I use Virtue Proto Laser eyes, 25.00. robinsucks over on PBN makes his own laser eyes and sells them for 19.00.
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/362/img0843vy9.jpg
Once you have all of these parts in hand, really all that's left to do is notch the board so the top left mounting screw holds the board better. The area near the noid socket.
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/2236/img0842vb8.jpg
Frame that DC did.
http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6856/img0844nx0.jpg
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6324/img0845st3.jpg
Frame I did with a Dremel and a drill press. lol
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/1636/img0835zm1.jpg
http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5142/img0833ad5.jpg
http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6931/img0837yl6.jpg
You can see in the last pic I did not drill through the trigger gaurd for an allen wrench.
