anyone know anything about a Macdev Cyborg? I have been looking at one and I would like to know a little about one. The efficiency looks good but what about maintenance and service? Thanks for any info or knowledge you can provide.

I have a 06 for about 5 months and have yet to play with it. I needed a replacement board, but its all up and running now.
A few things;
The gun is pretty durable from what I can see. It requires Dow 33 lube (IIRC). Basic maintenance is just cleaning and lubing the ram and lpr. Parts can be found at Paintballkingdom (http://www.pblegion.com/www.paintballkingdom.com)
IMO, a borg is basically a Timmy that is a bit more durable in some areas - such as the fact that there are no LP hoses, and a better reg.
The board is also decent. Some of them come with a 'predator light' code on it. The gun is fast as hell.
Most people complain they are too 'tall' for them though.. for me its not a bother.
There is a great site for Borg maintenance and tech stuff. http://www.borgfocus.com/
If anyone can add anything to this discussion, please feel free since I am not enough of a Borg-Expert to know it all (YET)

I'm no borg expert but have been playing with one for the past year 6 months or so. I love the efficiency and the ease of maintaining the marker.
I bought a new 06 from paintball kingdom for $650. They shipped mine with the new 07 board and the new x7 code. Pretty cool. Also they will service the marker for the original owner for free.
They are durable, and as long as you keep them clean and lubed will treat you well. I use dow 33 on the regs and dow 55 on the ram. Included with the manual was a revision on reg balancing and factory recommended lubes. Otherwise I would just use 33 on the whole thing.
I really like the marker. Some people complain of them being tall, but I didn't notice it. They definitely are fast. I think the best part is they really don't need any internal upgrades. The stock parts seem to be as good if not better than any upgrades.
As BE mentioned, http://www.borgfocus.com/ is your friend.

fast, efficient, and tough, i just sold mine to a buddy, but once the regs are tuned there isnt a problem

I had mine for 4 years now. The stock board is plenty fast for semi only, but I upgraded to a Tadao. The Tadao is nice, but I never use psp or any of the other modes. They're real easy to maintain with dow 33 and the ram is rebuild able with only 3 o-rings. My only complaint is that the noid wire and eye wires have to fit in/routed a certain way or you can pinch the wires very easily. They're very quite, accurate, dependable, and shoot real flat. If AGD never wasn't around I would be collecting McDev's....

I've just purchased an 06 cyborg as well. Dry fired it watched the tech videos on pbnation. I'm excited to play with this for real! Mine seems to have all the settings the Predator 5 board has.
You have to upgrade nothing on it.

Here is a link explaining the different properties of DOW 33, 44, and 55.

I am kind of looking a little for something and happened across a cyborg. I really have not made a decision as to what I want to spend the money on. I was also considering something from Bob Long. Just trying to find out as much as I can before plunking down the $$$.
