pump kit

I just bought a pump kit from jay. I was assembling my kit and I'm not sure is I ran into a problem. Is the pump mount suppose to sit flush with the rail?

why not it "flush" with the rail? did you put the nut in the pump mount to have it pump hold like that?

thats how its fitting, it looks wrong.

on my rail, its all the way up to the rail; it does not have that little gap in between.
