I travel from time to time, and wouldnt mind getting a chance to play some paintball when I do. But I dont want to go to any ****ty fields, only really good ones.

Can anyone out there recomment a field in your area that is a 10/10?

Im looking for a speedball/hyperball/airball style field.:treadmill:

If you ever get to central Minnesota. I highly reccomend Annandale Paintball they have a full size NPPL field and full size X-ball field. Usually only one field is setup at a time though. They also have a back field for non sup air play. The back field is a work in progress. Most of the time I'm playing the X-ball field though... They have HPA fills up to 4500 and small pro shop on site. The only downside can be the lack of player turnout, I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Well, you may have to qualify what you look for in a non-****ty field.

There is one in my area that has spectacular facilities, and by far the best kept fields, but you are more likely to run into the little agglets and the problems they present. Its called Windy Hill, here in McDonough.

As for the best attitudes, there is another field that, although small has a very high fun factor. B'Ville Paintball in Barnesville.

Both are within a hour drive of Atlanta.

Hey:

Jacky- I'll take you up on that... I'm just in Chattanooga. Let me know if you'd like to meet up at a field in the next month or two; I'd love to get out and play (I'll even let you get off with just paying for yourself).

There are some nice fields in my area (halfway betwixt Chicago and Milwaukee). Promised Land is a great woodsball place. It is run by Christian folks, and advertised itself as a Christian Paintball park. Overall, it is great, and I have never had anything stolen from there, not even pod-thievery:eek:. For speedball, it used to be PB Blitz in Gurnee. I worked there, but then it closed. I hear good things about Challenge park, but cannot vouch for it. Fox Paintball is a great place to play, but is way away from where I am. There a bunch of fields around, just not many that are perfect 10s. Most are in the 5-7 range:(

Well, I don't have real nice facilitys but we have awsome people and a great environment. My tourneys(held in city parks not my field) on the other hand are top notch in everyway as a beginner circuit.

I played Challenge Park Extreme in Chi-town in September. None of the hyperball/speedball tpye places, but hella fun paintball none the less. They have like 8 or so themed fields -- from armageddon, a post apocalyptic town in ruins, to Tippman Town which is a retro town square, to some great woodsball fields. My favorite was the old car field, about 20 acres of flat open field with probably 50 or so junked cars. I know, sounds cheesy, but it was really fun.

The only other place that I really liked was apacolypse paintball in Poynette Wisconsin (Near Madison). Very well run field, not too much agg problems, great hyperball fields, and some 'speedball/woods' that are fun to play. It has one of the best castle fields I have ever seen, and some fun things like 'Korean village' and a 'ww1 trench field'... Its BYOP there too.. Field paint is like 100/case...

Thats about it.. haven't traveled to many other speedball places.

Are there really no more than 5 good fields? There must be more of you out there that can recommend a good field!

Pittsburgh area

Three Rivers Paintball is great for woodsball. www.Trpaintball.com

If you're hell bent on speedball there are a couple,

Crazy Daves (http://www.crazydavespaintball.net/main/photos.html) I haven't played there in a couple years but they were nice fields with a good crowd.
AA Paintball park (http://allamericanpaintballpark.com/) Okay, please don't ban me for this one. I played a couple times there a couple years back when it first opened and as much as I loathe Smart Parts, it is a nice indoor xball field.

The place to go to is SE of Raliegh in a little crossroads called Coats, NC. It is the home of Black River Paintball and they have a great Speedball area. They have fixed up their woodsball area too but they consistantly hold 3man tourneys etc, so the fields are always good. Let me know if you are ever in the neighborhood and we'll go throw some paint. Capital Edge Paintball in Sacramento is a 10/10, but it's only been open for a month or so and thats to early for a solid rating....However the staff is good, players real nice for a airball place, price good ($25w/air) its BYOP but they sell Midnight on site for $45. So while I say it is great it has not been open long enough for me to even really rate it. I had a great time there Saturday.

Well, ive been to alot of field here in Illinois.
For "WOW" factor, i think everyone has to check out CPX in chicago. Scenario games there are alot of fun, and lots of variable fields and terrain to play on. But airball wise, its lacking. I wouldnt go there for a regular day of recball, as it is expensive, and the turn around time for games is too long.

Fox Paintball here in IL is fun. Pyroman works there and is a fantastic stand up kinda guy. The staff is pretty nice, although the refs are kinda lazy. BYOP is a plus, and they have a wide variety of fields, but the staging area is lax (no cover what so ever, just an open field, NOT recomended when its hot out side) and its hard to get to. Lots of speedball/airball fields though.

for just a plain ol' good time, you cant beat Sudden Impact here in Bloomington. Its a smaller field, but a much more "tight knit" environment. 2 Airball fields, one EXCELLENT hyper ball field, and BY FAR the greatest staff ever. Refs are active and safe. Atmosphere is one of fun and respect. Prices for field fee is dirt cheap, paint prices are fair, but John (the owner) is a very generous guy. Ive seen him go great lengths to make sure rec players keep playing and have fun.
We would LOVE to have you here for the Spring Pump Event in April. Its some of the most fun ive ever had playing the sport. I cant recall the last time i laughed so hard, or so frequently at a paintball field. You can tell the staff and owner takes great pride in their field. Its what attracted me there for sure.

Seriously Rogue, make a trip to SPE. You wont be sorry.
Well, except for when i shoot you.:nana:
