Is that where Lesnar ended up? Last I heard he was wrestling in Japan. Ive seen alot of these cross-over wrestlers cry like babies at the hands of these mma / shoot fighter guys. It should be interesting..

But wait... does this belong in PB talk? :slap:

I used to read behind the scene stories about when Ken Shamrock was in the WWF and how they used to mess with him for his "Worlds most dangerous man" moniker. There were a few times where he gave some of the other wrestlers a schooling....

Yeah, it can be pretty disappointing to watch wrestlers miss opportunities. I just sit there yelling at my TV, "What the **** are you doing, you could be beating the ever-loving crap out of his face right now! Stop humping him and hit him!"

I'll disagree with you about Frank Mir :slap: the crap out of Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar is a machine and I believe he has a very good chance of :slap: the crap out of Mir.

Mir's only advantage is shear technical ability and use of jiu jitsu. Brock having every other pyshical advantage.

Yeah odds are probably favoring Mir with the submission but I'll go with Brock :Hulk:

mir :tombstone:

just my opinion but I hate watching a submission artist get :slap: only to win in the final seconds of a bout do to the fact a the fighter over extends on a punch:sticktongue:

Lesnar has fought in MMA before. He does have some skill. Ill try to find the vid of it. Also remember he was collegiate wrestler. While Mir is a MMA vet, Lesnar will just impose his will on Mir. I say Lesnar by decision.
Ok this was his debut:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XLkqQwIT2k

I friend of mine in Tampa saw Shamrock beat the **** out of 4 WWF stars one night after an event (this was almost 20 years ago now). Apparently, the WWF guys had some MAJOR issue with him and decided to push the subject behind a coliseum. It got to the point where he was chucking their limp bodies into a dumpster at one point. Of course this is all second hand descriptions.

BUT REMEMBER:
Brock wasn't just some WWE wrestler. He was a champion wrestler in college and in open divisions after that. He was an all-American. Plus he's freaking huge. If he had a couple years to train on just striking and stand-up, I bet he could contend in MMA.

Mir has looked shaky lately, Lesnar could pull it off.

I agree with Steelrat. Mir has not looked the same since returning after his motorcycle wreck. Who knows though, this may be where Mir shows he is back. Lesnar is a monster though and he is a real athlete in top shape. Looks to be an interesting match. Guess that is why Dana put the fight together.

Well its over.
I wish the ref didn't stop the ground and pound Lesnar was putting on Mir for a punch to the back of the head. The hammer fists are raining down, Mir ducks/tucks in and the blow hits him on the back of the head. No warning, the fight is stopped, a point is deducted from Lesnar as they are stood up. Mir gets up wobbly and gets a few moments to recover. Too bad. Mir may have won anyway but I was sorry to see the ref jump in so quickly on this fight. Didn't happen on any of the others. Lesnar is a force to reckon with. Mir was able to take advantage of a mistake by Lesnar. I'd watch a rematch.

Well I agree completely!
The ref deducting a point for striking the back of the head come on... I have watched numerous fights and see warning after warning but after 2 shots its seperated and a point deducted.:wall:

Lesnar was about to put Frank Mir in the :tombstone:
there was no Mir :slap:to Lesnar. Lesnar made one mistake stepping across Mir and got caught in the kneebar.

And Lesnar was a class act with the post fight interview:wthumpup: Not complaining how the ref jumped in to soon and deducting a bs point.

He'll be back and he's still a huge force to be reckoned with.
I'm going to guess the next matchup Lesnar vs. Sylvia :twocents:

I don't think there should have been a time out for that, mir pretty much asked for it since the punches were already on there way and he just turned his head there. On the other hand, the ref's job is the well being of the fighters. He couldn't let the fight continue if there was a chance of concotion.

Lesnar underestimated Mir's capabilities or he was just too much in a hurry to finish the fight. If he would have taken the time, he would have walked out of there with the win. His power and takedown were unmatched.
