So i was thinking about all the new frames that people have come out with on the after market for mags. there was the Devil mag, Logics UMF, and a few more. what was ever wrong with the old hyperframe? it seemed to do the job just fine when i had one, but for some reason it never seemed like anything more then a novelty in the mag world.
how many people out there are still shooting these things? Im thinking about putting mine back on just for fun :D

I had one for a short while as well.
The only thing I disliked about my frame that couldn't readily be changed was the grip panels, I realize Luke made grip panels but for some reason I preferred softer grips for that thing.
Plus the stock trigger and switch blowed, Luke did have replacements though. Good ol' Luke, we can always count on him.

I have one of the 13 bps Hyperframes and I love it as long as it isn't too cold out. I did the switch mod that someone posted on AO and the trigger is super light...probably a little too light.

Aside from the switch/board, I think there were a couple on/off issues. Also, Hyperframes are ugly as hell. I'm sure you can make 'em shoot fine, but it'll still look like crap. :twocents:

Well, just remember when they came out. They were made for the classic valves, pre-xvalve, pre-ult. Dennis at Centerflag told me himself that the lost a ton of money on them. Im guessing because they were a royal pain to get to work reliably back then. Now though, with modern controller boards, and the public knowledge regarding the ULT and how to get them to work, I would say that hyperframes would be more reliable now than back then.

i agree complietly.
i've had many, 13 semi, 20 semi, 20 fullauto. i like them all. i even took a 20bps fullauto and integrated it into a z-grip (that **** was awesome!!!). i don't own one at the moment but i'm sure it won't be to long before i snatch up another one. shoot, i still have a few boards and misc. parts, just no frame to put them in. all-in-all i think the ult and x-valve did the hyperframes a huge favor by making them more user friendly.
HEY ROGUEFACTOR YOU STILL HAVE THAT GUTTED FRAME??? :glare:
IIRC the fact that the MSRP was around $350 for a bloody frame really didn't help the Hyperframes popularity. Then again the whole reliability issue wasn't exactly helping them.
I only had one back in the day because I bought it used for a fraction of that cost.

When the RT's first came out Centerflag was offering to do a custom install on them for $500!!. I was so tempted, but glad I didnt go for it and bought my Xmag instead :-)

I also think it had to do with how the frame looks. Compare the hyperframe to most other frames, and the design isnt as appealing.
