I see some of you with 10-20 very expensive markers and i was wondering, how can you afford it? I'm curious to know what kind of career and education all you guys have.

For me, in the last 5 years, i studied 2 years as a machinist, worked a year and i am now in my second year of biochemestry to apply in optometry in january. I only bought a minimag with a halo this year and i'm already broke as hell...my phylosophy this year is: spend it all before you run out of cash :wall:

i have between 500-1500 invested into paintball at any given time...I'm a junior in high school. I referee paintball, babysit my little bro, and sort of work in an auto shop. I save all my money to put towards my jeep or paintball.

I went to college for 8 year, no im not a doctor but i play one at night with the wife.

But seriously, i got my masters in I/O pyscholgy, and a double bachelors in pyschology and biology, no not english or spelling as many locals would point out.

I worked at saralee previously makeing 60k a year with no bonus as the regional HR Manager.

I got a job after 5 years at saralee with a large steel company doing the same thing with a tad more travel i now make $85,000 with $15,000 or pretty close to that if i do everything right in bonus. I am 31, and waited to have children until this year, been married 10. Wife makes fat money as a microsoft geek from home working for a large tech firm providing support. Not sure what she makes but she has no travel or expenses and i get the coolest computer crap. I;d say she makes around 60-70, im not totally sure.

She put a waterbuffalo on my paintball spending about 3 months ago so thats the reason i dont have dj89 blue x and atachs black dust x in my collection, but i will have more, its like pokemon gotta catch them all or like chips you cant have just one.

I like buying quality and i seldomly sell. I like watching the value of mags go up and stay steady.

I like how everyone wants to shoot it. then i just like being called out when picking teams on saturday, when some young 16 year old punk says, "dude you got to get oldschool, i cant stand to play against him" Good or bad, and not shy.

i also work on resumes on the side <plug>

I sell real estate for Keller Williams.

If you or someone you know is thinking of buying or selling a house anywhere in the country let me know. If I am the first contact I can put anywhere between $500-$2,000 in your pocket. Basically if it is out of my area I will refer you or your friend to a qualified realtor. Who will then give me a referral fee. I will then split that with you. Pretty easy huh?

98% of my money does not go to paintball. Which is why I am a long ways off from a "look at my collection thread". I enjoy building the best I can with the least amount of money. Just ask lasrsktr :slap:

Well, I'm an EMT and currently working on my Paramedic cert. I can afford paintball stuff because I am one cheap sucker and can't spend money on anything, but for some reason I am able to make an exception for paintball stuff. Oh, and I own a paintball store that helps too:D

Ok well being that everybody else posted what they actually do...

I'm a welder (fabricator) for a sign company. I also can run CNC machinery and make cool add ons, milling ect... to just about any gun. I get to build signs for Disney, Universal, Sea World, Godiva Chocolates, Sunoco, Gulf.... I like to build things and i'm good with my hands so my job suits me well. I make about 37,000 a year not including OT  its not much but i'm happy with it....

Here is a logo i 3-d milled at my old job in Orlando....

I work(ed) as a low voltage electrician, with my specialty being security and home audio-video. I don't make enough money to keep from being embarrassed in present company, but I will say this. I have an affinity for shrew dealing when buying and keep a watch out for deals. Until now I have never spent more than $500 on a marker, and generally keep my purchases low key and distrubuted over time. Patience helps a lot. Any time you need something now, it cost more.
I just broke the mold as I am in the midst of purchasing zazoo's Karta Emag. Given the price that Karta's have managed to hold, I feel like it will be a good deal for me.

Well as many of you may know, I am in Iraq working as a private contract healthcare provider for the US Military.

It is a great job. I make somewhere in the Neighborhood of 100-110 K a year for the privilege of driving on unsafe roads, flying over hostile areas, and having insurgents lob mortars and Iranian rockets at me. I also get to run outside the wire occasionally to pick up people who have been done harm by various forms of explosive ordinance. Mostly though, my day is made up of sick call, immunizations, and those fun activities of clinic life.

Towards the end of December my contract is up and I will be back to the 40K/year whirlwhind of stateside EMS, however I will be DAMN good at it from my experiences here. I like this job, but 16 months in the desert is long enough.

I am a Sales Engineer and Project Manager in the Fire Protection Industry. I have been doing it a long time.

I have built all of the mags myself. I now have too many guns (about 24, I think), so to keep my love for tinkering happy I will now to small projects for others on occasion.

I have only shown a couple of my mags here but intend to take a family photo soon...:D.

What agencey do you work for when you get back to state side EMS? Plus $40,000 for EMS isn't bad at all, they should really pay us more.

I am a CNC milling machine operator for a machine factory. I make parts for large and small machines for companies like Danieli Corus (steel manufacturing) Akzo Nobel, Collpit, (medical) Thales, (Defence contractor) etc.

My previous job was the same, but in the toolmaking buisness, (molds and dies for companies like Philips, Huthamaki, Keyes water company) but it was a real ***** to do some private projects like this:

I was planning on milling a emag rail today, but it was kinda busy at work... Ow well, atleast i got free dinner. :D

Yeah, i love machining. There is always something new to design and mill but it can get repetitive at times. For me, the job was amazing, i could work as many hours as i wanted to, use the parked mills and lathes for personal projects as well.

I had 2 major contributing factors that led me to quit the machinshop world:

-The shop was manufacturing US military equipment (i'm from canada)
-I didn't feel like i contributed anything good to the socioty

These reasons might not have affected others the same way, but it was actualy hard for me to act against my beleifs as i don't encourage the war (I do encourage the soldiers though). There is no question in my mind that i will buy a CNC and lathe after i complete my school...only 6 more easy years to go :wall:

If you wanna call it that. I work for a breakfix outfit in Texas. I fix/install/maintain desktops, laptops, printers, servers, & networks. Mostly the 1st three since servers & network devices don'g go down as much. It's an interesting job since I can be anywhere in the Los Angeles/San Bernardino/Riverside area at anytime of the week. It can run you down but at least I know where most of the paintball stores are in this area. :D

No body bothered me with details they were actually letting me go. Ah the fun of creating things is great. Also dont let the first pic fool ya....
