Well, its to cold for anything productive, so I started on a little pet project. Something I hope to use this weekend.

The barrel is a turned down 14" CP. I still need to drill a few holes.
Later I plan a brass hammer, connecting plate, and a aluminum bolt.

There was one shown years ago (read late 80's, early 90's) in an issue of APG. If I remember correctly they used a brass barrel.

Ken of KP I think it was did a hole set of internals. My inspiration. ...Or excuse. :evillaugh:
What you need next is a metal plunger with an RVA, a metal linkage rail (ULE ofcourse), and a lighter valve spring for easier opening.
Then just gotta get a zinc coating on the body so it can be coated in brass for polishing.
Good work on the barrel turning. It never gets old to see somebody swap a Splatty barrel.

IDK about the plating, but everything else is planned. A lot of brass in its future. I just don't have big enough stock lying around right now. :( I'm hoping the valve spring is close enough to cocker/nelson springs. The main spring is. I don't plan to pop the valve apart until I'm ready though. Shes shooting 240, with no leaks so I don't want to mess nothin' up yet!

Oh man, I have had a wonderful relationship with Splatmasters in the past. Ive owned a couple of them, and there were alway a blast to play with.
I have also had a few relationships with Moon-pies in my travels down south

Using, and using well is two totally different things! You may see me use it, but don't expect anything to happen. :smarty:

I got this one from one of my team mates about a month ago. He paid $10, I gave him $20. Can't beat 100% profit!
Moon Pie is GOOOOOOD! *drool*

It's starting to look good... If you wanted to use brass for the barrel, why didn't you give me a call?
I am planning to order some more brass. if you have any requests, drop me a line. Look through www.rotaxmetals.net for anything they have.

Eh, I figured I had the barrel, and the tubing is a bit larger in O.D. Then the .812". I wouldn't wanna have to order a big piece just for a 12" piece.
I may change it later, but this is good for now. :oneear:
Whats the minimum order you said? 12'? Some 7/8" round stock might come in handy. Could make anything with that.

Yeah, you might want to keep the splat master out of Redics sight. Might bring up some bad memories of having to dual with Lee

I have barrel tubing, you can buy/barter for some. As to the 7/8" round stock... that will probably be FAR too expensive. You might want to shop around. You could try www.metalexpress.net in Baltimore. I have an after hours pickup deal with them. If you want, since I drive right past your house on the way to and from home, I could drop it off. Make sure you call them, though. Sometimes the Internet says one thing, and the real stock is something else.
They might even stock the plate to make the connecting plate out of brass... Talk about cool! Make a couple of extra kits to recoup the money!

Thanks for the link! I've been meaning to ask you if you know of any good local suppliers!
I might try and make a couple kits. It'd be pretty easy to machine, and I have a couple ideas that would cut the machining time in half -- atleast!

Got the holes drilled. First I drilled the connecting holes, then tried it out. See if I had any trouble-shooting to do. Lucky for me, it works good. I put a 12-gram in it and tried dry firing it. First I had a leak, but I forgot to tighten the 12-gram. Whoops... Then I fired it. So quiet. Thought something was wrong. So I muzzle loaded a ball, and grabbed the chrono. 270FPS! Wow!
Then I took it back apart and drilled the feed hole. Lines up perfect. One problem though. It doesn't feed... No big deal. Just needs a little tweaking.
I'm happy, its working.
