Right now I wear Bates combat style boots....but after a long day..wow my feet hurt.
Jt and Dye used to make paintball shoes, and Mantis makes some now....but I wonder why no one else does now?
So what do you all wear to play paintball...what are some good shoes/boots?

I used to use hiking boots. They worked fine because all I ever played was woodsball out in the sticks of Lake Tahoe.
Recently I dusted off an old pair of soccer cleats and have been very happy.
Much lighter and great traction.
I'm sure baseball cleats would work as well.

I usually wear new balence cross trainers. They work pretty well. If its real wet I wear an old pair of EMT boots.

I'd vote football cleats over all others because they're meant for cutting hard and turning quick unlike baseball cleats and they're made for quick starts not long runs like soccer cleats.

i use soccer cleats... they work great and i already have them handy. Every year i just use the ones from my previous season. Any quality cleat should work well.

my wife nags me they stink and i need a new pair, but they are just now broke in and i really dont go around sniffing my own feet. Se hasa custom set of pink womens nike's but she dont wear them if its muddy wtf? she always has to color coordinate her pb clothing. She has more different jersies and get up than i do.:smarty:

I have wore the Bates side zips for abotu 4 years, and they have been great for ankle support and traction in the woods. I recently orderd a pair of Altam Litespeed side zips to replace the Bates. ( Bates recently changed their boot design to be less leather and more nylon, and I didnt like how much less ankle support it provided )
For years, I wore football cleats, they have perfect tread for indoor or outdoor turf, arent slipery when stepping on rocks or trees in the woods, and offer a little bit of ankle support and protection over soccer or baseball cleats.
I would nto spend the extra money on paintball specific cleats personally. If you have weak ankles like me ( and TNDeath :D ) go with a 6 inch or 8 inch boot with a comfortable insole. If you want to be speedy and a little more agile, go with the football cleats

doesn't basball fans in general = lower IQ demographic? ;)
Fottball/hockey is where its at, and the games arent 10 hours.

I have to agree with Styg.
I got my 'paintball specific cleats' at cost, and Ive never been that impressed with them. The majority of the team that I got them from didnt wear them either(sponsored).
That should tell you something.

LOL, I'd agree with hockey, played for 11 years  and was not good enough for college (My school is D1 for hockey):(
What is fottball:confused: As far as that goes, I like my Illini, but nobody else. The Bears are ok, but I am not really a "fan" at all.

Barrel cover!!!!! Its just the ref in me....lol
I use football cleats for speedball, and Magnum boots for woods, or scenario play. The Magnums are inexpensive, and offer comfort and support. Good soft bottom for traction on any surface as well. I have a hard time spending lots of money on any of my paintball apparel. For the longest time I was about as ghetto as could be......'nother story.

Football cleats for speedball and Danner work boots for Scenario's. That's been my take on it for quite awhile. Only exception is if I know my feet are going to get wet. I mean really wet like wading in 2feet fo water. I'll bring a pair of trash shoes. Usually just some New Balance that I've worn out or something.

Football cleats does make sense. I had soccer cleats already so thats what I used.
Once they are destroyed I am going to give football cleats a whirl.
Heres a pic of my cleats - Actually I think the picture is bad @$& and am using the cleats as an excuse to post it

I have soccer cleats for speedball, but i'm mostly a woods kinda guy so i usually go with Dutch army issue military boots. Not too much traction, but solid, durable, saved me some sprained ankles, waterproof if you take care of them, and once they are run in are very comfy. (even more comfortable than the other pair i casually wear)

I like the idea of some Football cleats.....anyone know if someone makes a good high-top version....need that ankle support.
Also....
anyone ever try these....I would think they might have a nice gym shoe feel....

Seriously. I've tried.
I usually play in my baseball spikes, for one reason alone, I have them.
