How many of us work in EMS

So having been on here for less than a day I have already noticed afew, so how many medics have we got on here and were do you work?

I'm an EMT currently working on getting my Paramedic certs. I work for a private company called Gold Cross Ambulance, Gold Cross runs most of Utahs ambulance services.

Been in EMS my entire adult life. Started out as an explorer scout in Alabama in the 70's, have been on various volunteer squads, fire departments, and private rescue organizations but made EMS my career in 87ish.. Been working in it ever since..

I run a clinic in Iraq at the moment... but I will be back on the bus come January.

I am a first responder, and have been for around 4 years. I also have been thru emt-b school. Long story short about my EMT class, I passed my practicles first time thru, my instructor screwed me over, I was able to take the written test once before my time expired which I got a 69% on. When we have a new instructor in town I might go thru a refresher and to get my liscense, however there is no way I will while he is teaching.

Although not EMS (atleast here), I am also a Captain on my local fire department, I started fighting fires in 2001 and do love it more then what ive done in the ems field.

So how many of you guys loose alot of scissors? I lost my second pair of the week yesterday. First pair on a big multi critical car wreck Sunday night, second I some how lost on a cardiac arrest yesterday. I can go thru as many as three to four pairs a week some times. Does any one else have this problem?
