I'm considering doing small runs (About ten each) of different small items, and looking for ideas. What people would like to see.
Heres a few ideas I had. I have a couple others I'd rather not post. Yet anyway.
Brass Autococker bolt
Brass Autococker Hammer
Brass Autococker Valve Tool
Brass Autococker Cocking Rod Knob
Aluminum Autococker Press-fit Feedneck
Acrylic/Delrin Barrel Loudner
Brass Sheridan RVA
A couple of the items I've already made in a one-off item.

All ideas are welcome, and will be remembered if I need people to test them.

Ive already killed two aluminum cocker valve tools, im not sure a brass one would hold up well.
I usually have tons of ideas like this but of course im drawing a blank right now. I'll reserve this spot for when I wake up.

Is there any advantage of having a brass bolt over a delrin bolt? What about a brass hammer...any advantage?

They're shiney? :smarty:
If you were to make a brass hammer I'd almost certainly put a steel insert where it contacts the valve pin. some type of washer/small plate would also probably be a good idea for where the spring contacts the hammer in the back of it.
Other than that, I've got nothing.

I'll put a couple test ones through stress tests. If the brass bends to easy, I'll most likely switch to steel, or stainless.

Shiny good. Brass warms the soul! The bolt is more for people wanting to accent a marker with brass. Obviously, Delrin is a much lighter setup. Depends on what you want.
The hammer does serve a purpose. The heavier hammer weight allows you to use lighter main springs.

I was considering something like this, but the brass hammers I'm using in my dads Eblade, and my Sniper('s) are holding up quite well. I may add them anyway, for good measure. It would only be a couple more steps in the process. :)
Heres a picture of the hammer.

And won't wreck the inside of your body like Freeflow's piece of °°°° tungsten hammer. What a terrible idea that was. "Oh, I know, let's make hammers out of abrasive metal harder than the bodies they'll be going in! Nothing bad can come from this! Oh, and then we'll offer full refunds to people if they can prove that the hammers actually cause damage, but then when they show us bodies gouged to crap we'll claim it's just cosmetic damage and disappear!" ...Yes, I am a bitter, sarcastic individual.
Anyway, I might be interested in a barrel loudner. That on my stock Minimag barrel would be terrifying. :glare:

Haha, I'll have to make a nice tungsten hammer for you. :budo:
Good point though. All of my cockers/snipers with brass hammers have showen very little wear since I added them.
