A hopefully hypothetical question. Say you had a Karta, Dallara, Chord, XT Ripper, XT Phenoix, and an xmag(with only vert breech) body and you had to get rid of all but one which would you keep? Why?

It wasn't listed, but the only body I currently own in a plain old ULE body. Its not the sexiest especially of those choices but its light and simple, both of which make it my favorite of all.

I picked X-Mag cause it would hold value the best I think. If I had to pick a body based on what I personally like I'd stick with my Exile body. Of course Exile wasn't an option :-(

One of the many reasons I did the Slug body run even thought it didnt even come close to the 100 minimum I required, was to get myself a Chord body.

In a perfect world, it would have a matching RT/E-mag based rail.

So, the Chord is my first choice. My second choice would be an XMag styled body that was a body/rail combo instead of the unibody. Im not a big fan of the removable breech, as I dont use a warp and would prefer to see break beam eyes instead.

Chord as well. Since the only difference in bodies are the looks, i based my decision purely on it. But i like the IT body the most though.

1. Xmag - Bling factor
2. Chord V2 - Just Awesome and hard to come by (at least it used to be)

4. Chord V1 - Well it's V1 (no re-runs that I know of ... yet)
5. Dallara (any of them) - Well they're better than a ule

I would go with the Dallara too. To me, I only have one gun, and I play with that gun, so keeping something because it's worth the most money doesn't really appeal to me.

And I think the Dallara is the prettiest. :D

EDIT: Course... I probably shouldn't be voting because I don't even own any of these bodies. Anyone have a Dallara they're willing to let me have for real cheap? :rolleyes:

I liked the Karta better at first, but after getting a Dallara....

I pick Dallara, because of the flowing curves, tightness, and lightness. You can turn it in to a pneumag or electro and still maintain the 3 previous items.

I chose the Xmag body mainly because it's the most beautiful to me and for some reason I really dig that the rail is integrated into the body. It set the standards of looks for Mag bodies to come I feel. It's without a doubt a rare thing to see one go up for sale on it's own.

mainly because if/when my warp messes up (or my electronics). I can switch to vert in seconds. If only using vert I find that the removable breech is less desirable. hoppers are sound/eye activated so they are not dependent on the intellifeed switch. Also when removing a barrel while using a warp the hose holds the breech in place. Not so much when using vert.

I've always loved the DW bodies, especially the Karta. What I love the most though was the attention to detail and the insistence on shipping only after polishing it to the point that it's ready for a gloss ano to be put on it.

After seeing machining marks on some of the ready to ship XT bodies, there was no way I could vote for them.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. It's not that the XT bodies really suck (they seem usable after some small tweaks and do look pretty cool), but they're totally outclassed by AGD and DW quality. It's just not even the same league.

I was really taken by the Karta in pictures. It looked so sexy with the flowing lines and curves. I got my stuff together and actually bought one. Upon getting it home it just didn't appeal to me so much in person. The fat °°° end just bothered me for some reason. I also don't care for the RT/Emag length. I prefer the shorter rail. Topped off by the fact that I was actually going to play paintball with a body rail combo worth well over $450-500???? I have not too often been a fan of playing with a marker that costs that much, I worry too much about it.
So I really like the Chord body as well, but the lesson learned with the Karta has kept me from pursuing getting one.

As I said in my first reply on topic I will just stick with a good old ULE body. Its plain, simple, light, and inexpensive. Does the job just right for me.

Its in my nature to consider the why's. And I suspect they were the most popular based on numbers because its the only body that uses an E-mag rail, and came in RT/E-mag length.

Had the Dallara come in RT/E-mag length and used a E-mag rail, I think many more buyers would have chosen it for their E-mag or RT Pro. The Chord never came with a matching rail, but it was intended for an AM/MM rail because of the width of its body.
