Those of you who are married.

I have been married 10 years almost 11. I had plans to get my wife a 10th weeding anniversery band last may. However we planned on having our first child at the same time. With my crappy insurance at the time and having a 3700.00 deductible the plans got scrapped.

Now take it for what its worth my wifes weeding band stuff sucks balls. It was bought on a 12k a year salary while we were both attending college. She does not spend any type of money. Getting her to get something nice for herself is hard. I have to physically make her buy things, pretty lucky huh?
I am the lavish spender in the family for sure.

I see how she looks at other womens rings and see her like them, but would never allow me to psend the money to get her something nice. Now i got very blessed as im ugly as a toads boil and shes pretty damn hot, you ought to see her in her leather or red dress WOW.

With all that on the table, we make really good money now and its time to upgrade her a bit. What is, or what would you or have you spend on a three diamond band, princess cut. platinum? At least i think thats what she sems to be into. Also take into account i spent 2.5 k on paintball back in september without getting her anything.

Hlep me make a good choice, sacasm and humor are also needed.

Hard to answer....diamond prices are so dependent on the "quality" of the gem.
I would suggest...work in reverse. Give yourself an amount you want to spend , then go find the best you can get for that amount.

Also, you could get just about anything from Tiffany's and it will make her socks roll up and down....expensive....but its also some of the best jewelery around.

Lucky for me I'm in the same type of relationship you are. She doesn't really spend a dime and I currently have about $6000 in paintball **** in the basement.:D
Oh and she makes a lot more than I do too.:cool:
I bought her a 3 diamond ring w/ 3 small diamonds on either side mounted in the band in white gold. The 3 main diamonds were princess cut.
I bought it at a local jewelry store, Nasar Jewelers. Very nice stuff there. Not a big chain store and they do all their own work.
Original price was $4300, on sale for $3999. I haggled with them and got it for $3499. I think the total carat weight was 1.5.

Beleive it or not, try E-bay. I have gotten some great deals on jewlery from estate sales and things.

When I was married, I got a $4000 ring for like $350...

if you know what you are looking for you can get some great deals.

Holy sh*t ....thats a great deal, I have seen some good deal on ebay. Last Christmas I got my girl a movado watch with diamonds embezelled around the whole face for $1200, and it was a $3000+ anywhere else

Your situation and mine are exactly the same....in that my wife has to be forced to get anything for herself. I can't even get her gift cards because she will use them for the kids or someone else. I spend bookuu bucks on paintball, offer her to spend the cash on something for herself and she never will.

I offered this xmas to get her a diamond ring. She was excited at first, and then was like "you are just trying to buy me off".
What am I supposed to do in a situation like that? I mean damn, I am trying to be nice and she is shooting me down like I am covering for a guilty consciense....

It can be tough when you don't have a money grubbing materialistic woman as well.....lol, that is like the complete opposite of many mens gripe eh?

I'll work on the pictures - at least something showing off her assets. A few of those pics would need to be scanned in since we didnt own a digital camera until last year.

Punkin - Yeah I have to force her its annoying. Its like you have to secretly do this, or shell shoot it down. My wife has no idea and im doing some intersting trickery to hide the money leaving the savings account.

Someone in marketing made up "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" and "A Diamond is Forever". If you won her affections without the fancy ring then it probably REALLY doesn't matter to her. What she likely wants is your undivided attention when she needs it and some "special" treatment like going out, or a card and flowers now and then. Unless your wife is the kind who sticks around just for the goodies, I don't see any way around making the time to give her a little more attention. :o

I tore a hamstring about 2 years ago which landed me not doing anything for about 16 months after surgery. Add to the inactivity having a baby and gaining sympathy weight = before hamsting - 195 lbs, May 2007 - 256lbs. But i have dropped no back into the 220 range and still heading down, my body got so used to carrying this extra weight, even i think it liked it, that the lbs are coming off ever so slowly about 7-8 lbs a month.

I get the "you must have a big wang or money" to marry up like that. Well neither i guess. You just have to go after what you want and dont be an ahole to women and it all works out. ah thats just romantic bs, im hung like john holmes :rolleyes:

Anyway, not just to talk her into the brestical enhancement. She wanted one a while back for her own self esteem, since she said clothes were made for more than a b cup these days. During the pregnancy i seen the potential, and dudes it was Awesome :victory:

we are both 5'5, but i where doc martins with 2.5 inch heels. so most of the time I'm 5'7.

I have huge legs, unfortunately, and i like to lift, so after the 25 more lbs of belly come off my muscle mass underneath will never let me be much under 190. alot of my friends call me cube.

Just make sure your wife understands the balance and back problems that will develop from having big ones.
My wife has 40DD's now. When we got married they were 36B. After having kids they grew quite a bit. Her back is seriously jacked up now. The doctor asked her if she had been in an accident.
My wife would gladly get a reduction.

Arrived yesterday, looks better than i expected. I was actually shocked, i never actually bought high quality diamonds and understood the 4C's but i do now....


the downside, it make her other stuff look like handmedowns, and my end of costing me more now i cant run to zales and pick up something cheap.
