Meh, I was rooting for HD-DVD, but I guess Sony deserved to win one after Betamax. At least we have one standard now.

B-ray is a better format i think. Im happy with the outcome

Yeah I picked up a Blu-Ray player a couple months ago and I am very happy with it. Looking at the capibilities of both systems Blu-Ray was FAR superior and IMO made a better format



Only part that sucks is now I am replacing my DvD collection on Blu-Ray and waiting for some of my favorites to get made in Blu-Ray that where only in HD DvD (Martix trilogy, the Bourne Trilogy to name a couple)



Forgot to mention as an FYI, Beta is still used today in a professional aspect. Where I am currently employed our programing is delivered on DigiBeta (digital Beta) and where I used to work it was just plain beta. Beta was the better format over VHS, but VHS had better marketing. A lesson well learned by Sony when they come out with Blu-Ray
