Electric hookah?

Okay... so in attempt to make something completely ridiculous and pointless... how about an electric hookah? Or is that just missing the point not having the coals?

I was thinking it gets hotter as it goes... to the point at which the statement "it tastes like burning" usually comes up because it gets too hot.

With an electric one I should be able to control the temp using a simple thermostat, so that it only roasts the shisha at about 250-300 Deg F instead of charring and burning it.

Then, it's fast, no foil or screens, no mess and no Carbon Monoxide.

Also... a propane powered one perhaps? LOL!.

So... you want to make a "vaporizer"? ;)

Heat the "tobacco" and not burn it... no coals...

I love vaporizers... not a big fan of hookah tobacco though. :p I hate those little coals too. Just seems unhealthy.

Go down to your local head shop and check out their vaporizers. Once you know what heating element to use you can easily build your own. I'd put a variable control on the heating element for good control over heat.

I think I'll go smoke something now. :wthumpup:

I've never experienced the "burning" taste...and like said above you are pretty much describing a vaporizer. Unless the heating element on the hookah stays on top and the smoke is still pulled through water...

Oh yeah. totally still goes on top. I actuall found that it has already been done.
