This thread is the specs on the Watch Your Back Annihilator Paintball grenade. Charles, the inventor and owner, came to our shop and demonstrated it for us, and it's by far one of the most innovative designs I've seen. The best part of the design is it's simplicity. The entire grenade is run off of a very basic valve system that seals the Co2 chamber after every throw, causing one 12g co2 to last for 12 throws. This isn't his number, this is the number of times we threw it.
The other great part of this product is that it disassembles into smaller parts so that it's easy to carry and easy to assemble. The six barrels screw on, then the c02 is inserted, sealed, and the tail is screwed on, and it's ready to go. The grenade is very light weight, only a few ounces.
I'll get some more info soon, but that's what he showed us so far. I'll add pics soon too.

Also need to add that it goes off pretty easy on grass, turf, dirt, and pavement. The only thing that would be hard for it would be sand and deep grass. As long as the ground is semi-hard, it would be fine.

The only change I've made is adding a foam ball to the end that hits so that if it hits a player it won't hurt too bad. We've talked to the owner about adding something like that, and he's going to look into it.

I saw the video that someone had posted on another forum. Couple of concerns that I would have would be that most of the people that would use this play in the woods. Grass is soft and trees would deflect the throw. If only a few oz, then it would easily deflected. Another thing would be, how would you carry it charged? I think that it would be tricky. Is there some kind of safety on it? It looks well designed but I don't know if it will go over well. What kind of cost? If they are to expensive not many will buy because of losing your investment when thrown.

We played with one in a wooded area and had no problems, it worked very well, and carrying it charged isn't a big concern because the valve system in it keeps it from depressing without substantial force. The cost is $85, but it's a re-usable grenade with a steel body, it's not going to break anytime soon.

Desega...

I also had the same concern about the nose being hard if hitting a player and I spoke with C about that as well. One of the concerns I had when I took one up to this past weekends scenario game. Though most folks liked the look of it and the action it still wasn't allowed because of padding. I did notify those interested that there were upgrades and changes being made and that I'd hopefully have one ready to go at the next event.

One other note... It's ALUMINUM... not STEEL. :D

But yes they are VERY WELL MADE!!! And you don't have to worry about it detonating when you carry it. And as for the use of it in the woods... It deflects no more than any other grenade would when used in the same location. In fact if done right it could be thrown against a vertical wall above/behind someone to also hit them.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the upgrades from the maker.

Oops. Ya, the steel thing was wrong, my bad. But ya the padding was an easy fix, I just stuck a foam nerf ball to the end, and Charles (the maker) said he would look into something like that to build onto all of them. Thanks DM

Yeah man.... I also spoke/met with C and was told the same thing. There are some revisions going on and such. Will have to meet up with him again before too long to see the new ones.

Anywho.... I've got 4 that I need to "upgrade" and get sold....
