so i got it done. my wife convinced me that it was the best thing to do. less money on birth control per year and shoot i can't say i really want anymore kids. three is enough for me!!! i got my boy the third time around.
so if you haven't caught on yet, i got a vasectomy. and i gotta say the worst part of it all so far was the three shots to the nuts!! the doc was really cool, though i think he was flirting with my wife.
so is there anyone else here that are in the club i just joined?

Well I can't say that I'm part of that club, but the thought of those needles made me cringe.
Like was the needle straight into the teste or just into the scrodum..if you took 3 straight to the testes ...you are a real man. Weather you are physically complete or not.

I've considered having it done, as of right now I think I would make a horrible father...so some extra insurance is nice...and it is reversable.

yeah, i had to take 8mg of vicadin just to get into the car. and yes all three were to the boys! two in the back and one in the front.

alot off guys think the same thing, your not alone. i could never fully describe the feeling i got when my first born came out. it was overwhelming to say to say the least.
and yes it is reversible but there are odds. can't think of what the odds are, but i know it can be done.
for those that don't know how its done........i'll try and explain it in a way you can understand:
its like sauntering a wire in the middle. you cut the outer layer, then snip the wire itself, then fuse the two outer layers back together. so to reverse it you you just have to cut out the fused part of the wire, and put it back together again.
all-in-all i got two little stitches under my fireman, my wife says she can see the two holes on the back of the boys. that's where its the most sore.

I've heard the best recovery is to stay off your feet.. and they mean it!
I've considered it.. but everyone that I know personally that had it done had horrible recoveries.

Oh my gosh, it's painful just reading that. I can't even imagine. I would have told them to give me the Vicadin before the shots.

Wow... that is my EXACT situation and my wife just threw the 'cost of birth control pills for one year = cost of operation' argument yesterday...
I might be joining this club as soon as I can afford it, but in my mind buying a house is more of a priority. At least that is my excuse right now. :wall:

I have every intention of getting it done after I have kids. Don't want any "accidents" :D
Kids first, though. °°°°, I'm not even married :coffee:

well till yesterday i've had a good recovery. but i had to go to work and i was on my feet for about 8 hours. that was a bad idea, now the boys are a little swollen and my wife called in to work to tell them i wasn't coming in. i don't think i've had a great recovery, so i would say if you got it done take as much time as possible to recover.

my wife has the implant right now and i'll tell you that thing is great. but she's a whole nother person when she has those birth control chemicals running around in her. so that was one of the main reasons we decided to get me fixed. if you've been with a woman long enough to see the mood swings, you'll know that it would be nice to be around her without them!!
