Ok I had such a awesome time I can't stop thinking of ideas for the next time we play. Since Lasrsktr was owning everyone with his pump I was thinking we have at least 1 pump/pistol only game. I have at least 10 pumps and pistols, so lending them out to guys that don't have one will not be a problem. I might be able to bribe my wife and daughters to BBQ for lunch. Any other ideas you guys come up with post up. Maybe we can get a master list of ideas and what is needed and who can bring it would be cool.....

I dont own a pump, but this sounds like a lot of fun. You guys with the pump experience will of course stomp everyone, but everyone else trying to adapt could make for some laughs.

There should more movement, even my lazy °°° would have to move up...

I was talking to DevilMan all the way back (in spite of him telling me he had a headach).

I have to admit that as much as I hated hopperball in the past and how I was NOT holding my breath on the games we played hopperball... I actually had a really fun time of it. I mean I really honestly had a good time trying to make the 200 rounds last and how I could move with much greater ease.

I know, I know those are kinda "duh" observations and maybe I just never gave hopperball a legitimate chance in the last 7 years of play. I think I did better all around every game we played and used up between 50-150 rounds per game.

Comparing that to the first game of the day where I used exactly 1,223 rounds and hit no one, I think I can see how this might allow me to play a wee bit more.

I had not given any real thought to another game as of yet because, well you know, we "out-of-shape" and "no-longer-15-with-unlimited-energy" guys need time to heal.

I am glad that we found out Extreme was as good as we remember and I suggest that whatever we look at (and whenever it is) we consider playing someplace that has favorable reviews and one that we perhaps have not played yet.

I am open to suggestions.

Also I am cutting down the footage of the event as we speak and at the same time foo-fooing up and re-cutting my old videos in preparation of listing them all on YouTube. Might as well get it all out there listed by me as someone put up a few of them encoded all crappy and the like. Can't have that!

Edit: I do remember you telling me about cheap plane tickets and that is a VERY good thing to know. If we are really talking about discounts of that level then we really could go on trips to other parts oft he country or bring people out here for games.... I never considered that a viable option before.

I told Zman that I have a job pending with Virgin America Airlines, but don't know what the bennys are yet. If their like most airlines they offer 90% off of flights to friends and family. It's stand by which means if they have unsold seats it's yours, but if it's a full boat, your already on the plane, and last minute they get a paying customer they'll pull ya off. It's not that big of a deal getting a flight as long as it's not a long holiday weekend. Just thought I'd throw that into the soup to try and hook up with the east coast PBLrs.........

If it's cheap and I have time off school, I'm down. Long as someone can put me up for the weekend. Less money I spend the better. School = expensive. Deff something I'd be willing to try, I'm always up for an adventure.

Being that "Chevy's" fresh mex is the traditional after game watering hole.
This link should be helpful in determining the location of the next PBL meet n greet.

A word about Extreme -

We have ALWAYS had a good time there. I didn't even have to make a deposit to get our own ref/private group status based on our track record at the field.

They have good paint prices, and when you factor in the air coupon if you buy paint at the store it is one of the cheapest places to play we can find.

The airball setup is never a sure thing, but the tube fields are always fun.

Please support these folks, they hve been good to us.

This is a very preliminary thought/idea brewing in my head. To understand it you must understand what might make this possible.

In the aftermath of the excellent Modesto game, there was one thing that never really came to light because the people it affected were not even there :)

The GAP paint order that was placed and set to be shipped to the Millins got all messed up. Looking at the situation now it appears the following events happened.

1- Monday June 9th Devilman orders 7 cases of GAP paint. 4 cases of Dynasty Grade, 3 cases of Mid Grade. Delivery is set to the Millin household to save travel space on the drive up.

2- Monday or Tuesday June 9/10 GAP or DevilMan mix up the shipping address and...

3- Thursday June 11th The Millins somehow receive only 2 cases of Dynasty. The other 2 cases of Dynasty and 3 cases of mid-grade are later discovered to have been shipped to the dealer who placed this order in San Jose.

4- Saturday June 14th We all have a good time because the paint that I ordered arrived (the 2 dynasty boxes + the 1 I had already) and the other 4 cases of paint are not missed due to those people not showing up. It should be noted that the paint was not paid for and did not have to be till the end of the month so none of us are out $$$ for paint we did not get.

5- Wednesday June 18th The Millin family is blessed (maybe) with a sudden arrival of 5 cases of GAP paint (2 cases of Dynasty and 3 cases of mid-grade imagine that....). A quick call to the dealer in San Jose confirmed he still had 5 cases of GAP paint at his place.

So we have 10 cases of paint all said and done that has been shipped out from GAP that we have no use for since our big game is done. Right now DevilMan is trying to find out what GAP wants us to do with all this paint. I see 3 possible scenarios.

1- GAP has UPS come and ship it back to their warehouse
2- GAP cuts their losses and offers to sell us the paint at a discounted price, or ship it back if we do not want it.
3- GAP lets us keep all the paint.

While the last option is not likely I could see #2 happening. If GAP offers to sell us all that paint cheap cheap cheap... well we would need to go play paintball and shoot it all up of course.

So once we find out how this is going to end we might suddenly have good quality cheap paint available for a spur of the moment game. Perhaps in the interest of playing in cooler weather we might consider Bear Creek? If we are serious about playing some pump/hopperball games Bear Creek would be pretty nice and more importantly, it would be closer to 70 up in those mountains rather than 90+ in the valley.

Where exactly is Bear Creek? Is it close to Carmel or Monterey?

BearCreek PB is 3.8 miles off of Hwy 17 on BearCreek Road just south of Los Gatos, CA.

So South of San Jose...

Small field but cool folks...

I'll definitely meet y'all at Bear Creek if I'm available. I have a weeding this week (June 26-38), but other than that I should be good. Figure me for plus 1 at least, with pumps.

Nothing since I last talked to DevilMan (who is currently in one of those states where they talk like that redneck joke guy. I think he (DevilMan) lived there and that might explain some of him... I'll harass him on his cell thanks for the idea.

So what's the status with the airline job? I definitely would like to get out to California to ball and if I can do it cheap I'm game. It would be pretty awesome. I know this month it looks like I have no class Saturdays or Sundays .
