Not again?! Say it aint so:coffee:

Where is bryce? Any insider info? Raw materials have now twice increased? Or was the price increase in January not for the reasons stated?

Dear Valued Customer:
Effective June 16, 2008 KEE Action Sports will be increasing its prices on all KEE branded paintballs. Please
reference the below pricing sheet for further details of this increase.
The extraordinary and unprecedented rise in energy costs and related raw materials makes this increase
necessary. As we look to the future, we have some indications that suggest further increases may be passed on
by KEE around September of this year. We will attempt to mitigate these and other potential increases, and will
continue to update you as more details become available.
Thank you for the business you have chosen to give to KEE today and in the future. Please contact your sales
representative if you have any additional questions regarding this announcement.
Sincerely,
Johnny Postorivo
VP Domestic Sales

Its gas prices, the more they rise the more everything rises. Although Procaps raised thier prices (earlier, not a second time) so they are now up to what KEE's were before they raised them the first time. KEE paints are expencive.

Not to mention KEE's minimum order is ridiculous. Or at least the initial order is, I don't know about monthly, but I assume it's up there also.

KEE doesn't have monthly orders, after the initial one you can order as little as you'd like and they don't say anything. Back when I was running Paintball Addiction some months we'd only order a couple hundred dollers in stuff from KEE because thats all we needed from them. They never said anything. Dye is the only company I currently know of with minimum monthly purchases, there may be afew more out there but I'm not aware of them.

Minimum orders come and go. I know that in years past, most of the larger companies sold to distributors who handled the smaller orders from shops and shops loved this because they could buy variety of different brands to meet their minimums.

Now that the big guys are getting rid of their distributors and cutting out a middle man to increase their own margin, it may bump their sales short term but have the opposite effect long term. Dealers/shops are dropping off like flies, and the industries dealer network is shrinking. Minimum orders usually result in fewer orders. Dealers will wait to place a larger order, thereby not re-ordering until they absolutely have to. Fewer dealers, fewer sales, fewer orders = bad.

This industry is like a chicken with its head cut off. It doesnt know which way is up, and continues to do the same things that have already failed in its history.

Maybe Im wrong, and this time it will succeed...
