It was something I wanted to add to the collection, and I recently acquired it in a trade. The 1st gen's of the LX bolt were made and assembled differently than they are now.
Level 7 bolts were brazened, this method kept the bolt from separating. Level 10 bolts are now made in the same manner.
It appears these were press-fit together. The sidewalls of the tri-wing have raised edges similar to the original delrin Superbolt, which is what is supposed to keep the two pieces from separating.
