This was AGD's first attempt at a lighter bolt. It functions the same as a Level 7 bolt, it does not have any anti-chop features.

From what Ive been told, the pre-production models worked perfect. The production models had issues with the delrin sleeve separating from the main body of the bolt.

If you look closely, you can see two ridges about middway down the body of the bolt. The sleeve is pressfit on and its those ridges that keep it from coming off.

The 2nd generation of the 'SuperBolt' is the Level 10 bolt. This was its predecessor.

Looks like it was a simple weight reduction design by putting in the need for strength into the super thin wall of the bolt then wrap it with a light friction free delrin sleeve to act as a spacer and allow super smooth spring transition from compressed to relaxed.... I don't see how they felt that only 2 little grooves would do the trick though... I mean it's gotta stretch to get on there... A better idea would have been a touch of black RTV close to the bolt flange or a set screw through the delrin into the SS....

But what do I know???

I loved my super bolt!
It was great... until the sleeve cracked and broke... :wall:
