From the pic you can see there is a gauge, so thats not the answer.

What is it? And what is it used for?...do you know?:evillaugh::nana:

Pressure gauge that attaches to the back of the valve?

so it goes up to 1200psi, so its not for a tank. but from the pic provided i can't tell what or where the 1/8 threads are. so my first guess was the back of the valve as well, but then it could have ASA threads for all we know and attach on the front or an on/off. :scratchhead:

how does it attach rogue? or does that give it away?

This is my guess as well.

I am thinking it would replace the reg on the back of a valve. Sorta like the one that someone else did (dont remember who) for a classic vavle. They had a vert reg, and used a "plug" for where the reg goes.

edit:
One other thought I had was that it would replace the powertube. hmm. looking at the pic again you cant see threads. So it could be female threaded to allow it to screw on where a powertube should be placed, but only on xvalves.

If its not either of the above then I quit.

Im going with this theory.

The threads ( from the tiny are that I can see) look like they are too wide for a 1/8 port. I doint think its the velocity nut it replaces but probably the cap-off for a inline reg mod.

I always thought that was an interesting idea.. then we could have "half-blocked" Mags. The only problem is finding a vertical reg that had a recharge rate comparable to an X-Valve.

I thought I had an idea of what the part was until he said it was Mag related.. I give up. Just tell us already, Rogue! Stop toying with us :D

That thing is really great, the gauge reads the input into the valve right?

Id really like to get my hands on one of these and build a slick pneumag out of it.

Velocity would then be adjusted via an inline reg correct?

I wonder how well that would work with an adjustable tank reg. (Flatline, Max-Flo, Centerflag...) I wonder what the cycle rate would be.

Looks verry interesting. :evillaugh:

I am curious how that would work with an X-valve. I see it's function on a classic just fine. Am I missing something? Dose it have a plug for the reg valve pin. I am very interested in this.

The back half of all the valves are the regulators... They all serve the same purpose as far as I know and only differ in HOW they do it, but not WHAT they do. Basically the pin that goes back onto the regulator only lets out so much REGULATED air when needed. The regulator basically breaks down the 800-3K PSI to about 400-450 from what I've been told. That is what the pin lets in.

This takes the place of the regulator and the gauge is not necessary but helpful. But you could take it out and plug it off and it'd work just fine.

What you do need is a regulator somewhere else inline that lets you adjust your pressure as it would basically be going straight to the ON/OFF for lack of better understanding on my end.

hmmmmm... see if you can find that BLUEMILK website or whatever and see if you can find that animated drawing of how the valve works... that should better explain it than what I can...

Sorry, didn't explain well enough. The X-Valve works a lot differently than a classic (as you are are aware). I have a classic with a gutted reg. It won't work too well on an X due to the circumvention of the on/off via the big hole through the middle. This is what I wanted to know.

Thanks for trying though.

So I see you are still at it =).
