World Cup?

So I know it's like 2 months or so until it happens, but anyone planning to go?

I'll be there as much as my class schedule permits..which could be a couple of days or the entire time.


So anyone else plan to go? Playing or spectating?

Even though this is a paintball forum and this is in the paintball talk thread, the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the title was "Alright, somebody else likes soccer too!" Sometimes I can be a :knob:

'Professional' paintball has lost its appeal. Ive been to PSP/NPPL/Pan Am events plenty. And either they cater to the player, the vendor, or the spectator. Usually 1 at the expense of the other 2. Of the 3 promotions, the best production for spectators was NPPL, by far. Watching PSP was boring, and Pan Am/XPSL just werent up to snuff.

The last 'pro' events I went to were NPPL Huntington and Commanders Cup. They were a huge disappointment, and were going down hill. This was before they were acquired, and Ive only heard that things have gotten worse since.

Maybe when(or if) things turn around, and I start hearing good things, I will attend the events again. Until then, I will have to suffice with reading about them.

I will be there as many days as possible..which I will not know what days those will be until the last Wednesday of September. But I will be there for at least a day...

No, I wont be there. I was hoping you would take some pics and let us know how the event turns out for PBL.

I'll have to get my hands on a camera, but shouldn't be a problem.

Now by how it turns out for PBL you mean just letting the forum know, or is there going to be a PBL team playing? The way it is written I could read it either way,but seeing how I haven't seen anything on a PBL team I'm going to assume you just mean for the forum?

Anything you want photos of in particular? I'll get some coverage of the vendors and some of the pro's, but I tend to spend more time around the lower divisions games. So I'll have pics of that for sure. Wish I could get a hold of a press pass.


Oh wow I can't believe this slipped my mind..I have a project coming up and I may be filming a particular pro team..if that pans out as planned (the team is already confirmed) then I may continue the filming at cup...Well even if I do that I can still get pictures while I'm there.

Whatever you feel everyone would like to see is just fine. I used to love seeing all the pics from events I couldnt go to, vendor tents, products, some team play.

I am not too picky, whatever you can come up with is just fine.

I'm going to be at Commander's Cup this year...it just so happens that my vacation coincides with the dates for the event and I'll be in SoCal visiting the 'rents (my first trip back to Cali since I moved) so I may have to get Rogue to come down and meet up with me (I might even get the wife and daughter to come too).
