Hey guys, in an effort to find good music and have something new to talk about on here, I've decided to start a music thread!

What kinda music do you guys play to? I'm the make-shift DJ for our speedball events, so I get to pick a lot of what we play. I stick mostly to rock, not to heavy, but all family friendly, no cursing and such. I use a lot of The offspring, Rise Against, Linkin Park, and such. Let me know what else people listen to!

I always wanted to add the DJ thing to local get togethers. Music does make the days a bit more enjoyable.

It must be nice to be the guy who coordinates these things. You get to have the music set up at the field since you ARE the field.

Your choice for music is good. You could throw in some hip-hop/dance/rap classics though...Beastie Boys, Whoomp there it is, It Takes two, etc etc. Kinda like a Top 40 selection rather than just Alternative. Unless of course your groups prefer to only have one style of music.

We (my team) are all about the heavy tunes. Don't get me wrong, I listen to everything except country. But, when it comes to getting "in the mood" for some killing, Disturbed, old school Metallica, Pantera, Drowning Pool, are the way to go!:evillaugh:

...although, my personal love of metal goes a bit deeper than most of the guys on my team...

Atta boy! We use Disturbed, Metallica, Drowning Pool, Static X and such too. Just Edited songs for cursing content

And Rogue, we do have some older hiphop stuff like C&C Music Factory and that.

I guess I should add a full list of people we listen to, I was just listing a few of the newer ones we've added.

Thanks for the input, who else?

Some trance/techno might not hurt. Also, how about some ridiculous junk tossed out every once in a while, maybe "What's new °°°°°cat" or "Safety Dance" just to make em giggle. Also, how about some "heavy" classical, like "Dias Irae" from Verdi's requiem or "Mars, Bringer of War" from Holst's "The Planets." Even some tracks from the Conan sountrack or Halo soundtracks would be cool. Or, if you must, the eternally overplayed "O Fortuna" but your soul should burn in hell if you do.

Personally, I'd get sick of hearing the same metal/alternative crap over and over again.
