To be honest, my "ultimate" setup changes every few months according to whim. I seldom hold on to the same rig for long. I will say that along the way I have found things that I like better than others, so preferance=ultimate I will go.

Marker- I like most mags, mech more than "E".

Loader- I prefer the old pre BE revis to anything for its size, weight and reliability.

Feedneck- Just about anything so long as it clamps and matches.

Barrel(kit)- I have always used the Freak kit. Since I have it, I only buy new backs when I need them.

Reg- I have always liked Palmers regs

Air tank- I really like my Angel Air

Drop / ON/OFF- Checkit

Mask- My all time fav is the Scott Badass. I also like my Dye Invision, but admit I like those Events.

Pants- IF I could find a pair that didn't either rip, or tear a hole in the knee right away...I would have to say for cost and durability at this time, BDU's

Jersey- Whatever comfortable T-shirt I am wearing at the time

Cleats/boots- I use Nike football cleats, for scenarios Magnums

Gloves-Don't wear them

Pack- I really like my NXe

Good way to look at it, and now everything shoots pretty much the same. I don't know I just like the feel of certain markers more than others.

Most Definitely.
I've found that depending on the marker, and the setup of said marker, I'll change my shooting posture ever so slightly, including my hand placement and other small things.

I'm sure having the perfect setup would be nice, but i'm actualy happy with what i have. I won't lie to you guys by saying that my setup is perfect....far from it lol. But i am confortable with what i shoot and i'm not afraid to use it in fear of scratching it during play. I might change my mind tomorow when i get my first Halo with V35 that i was suppose to get friday :wall:

But then again, i don't play at your level. We are a bunch of noobs at my feild so i don't need a fast marker to be able to compete.

So its been almost two years, whats changed?

For me quite a bit. Now my ultimate set up is an S6 with a pod lid'd winchester hopper,I still use a 68/4500 tank just because I like to not have to get air all day, whatever shirt I grab, some smokin outlast pants, and a PBmafia 5/50 harness, I've really relaxed alot and come to love pump play. Just curious what/if any of yours have changed.

That's been a while!!

Well as markers goes, i'm still using mags and my phantom, barrels is something else tho.. these days i don't really care aslong as it shoots straight.
Loaders: still halo's/reloaders and revvies.
I still like my Guerilla air reg because it outputs more than 900 psi when the tank is over 3K psi filled, that just goes great with my RT minimag.
CP on/off's still have my prefference, still am using the profiler and shield mask but i did get Proto 08 pants... Those are a bit less warm to wear than the Dye pants, a bit more comfortable. I dont like the pockets in them tho, easy to loose stuff.
Jersey wise im off the camo bdu's and more into black t-shirts and longsleeves atm. I preffer longsleeves because i have had 2 very nasty shots on my lower arms when wearing t-shirts. Won't be wearing any jerseys soon, because i feel they will rip too fast in the woods. Cheap longsleeve t-shirt in black is the way to go now for me.
Still using the army boots, but i would love something like high hiking boots with alot of grip. The army boots lack grip and are heavy, but i do want something that has some ankle support.
Gloves, still the Invert gloves, the '07 and '08 are still being used. I preffer the empire/invert gloves, and this year's models arent really my taste... So i hope the next year will bring better looking ones to replace my '07 gloves.
Pack: Nxe 5+6 but cut down so its a 5+2 now and no elastic straps to eject your pod. Also have a flurry industies vest i am using alot, but its warm wearing that on a summer day's of play.

As for me, well it can change any day. But for now it would be.
Marker: My good ol' RPG Mech Mag. I had an X-mag, but I just come back with my Mech mag which I really like. Altought I have not fully tested out my Viking during a game. As a matter of fact I have not tested out my Sterling pump in a real game either. But I will pretty much always come back to my mech mag for a couple of games at least ;)
Barrel: well I play with a 1 inch front freak kit... yeah I have been wanting to change this. I like kits. So when I get back to playing (next summer) I will go out and get myself another barrel kit.
CP on/off... love the CP and would not change
Hopper: I use my Reloader B.. love the sound activated (suggested by Z-Man a while back.. thanks)
Tank: I use mt Ninja 68-4500.. works well and looks great.. haha.. fit the RPG gloss black parts to perfection.
I bought this padded baseball style cap from ebay and it works great. Not a Turtle Cap, but same style and in Camo.
As a shirt.. well I got camo shirts, jerseys (lookin forward to playing with my automag army jersey) or any dark colored shirt.
Pack: some old NXe pack. I have like 4 vests that I used to play with back in the days.... wow did that change when I tried a pack :)
Gloves: well I used mechanical gloves and they work fine for me :)
NOT TO FORGOT... Jack Strap.. keep them alive and working

That pretty much is my ultimate setup. I have never shot an AKA marker so I can't judge it, and as much as I love my mags they are to nice to play with all the time.
