Getting there, but not quite. Are they ever going to feed kimbo to some real competition?

I think EliteXC will probably buckle. Kimbo will somehow end up on UFC and vs. Brock Lesnar. Lol. Then my head would explode :slap:

I am interested to see Kimbo fight some better competition too. He was not all that impressive in his debut fight.
There is allot of buzz about him due to his youtube/internet fight videos.
All I see him as is a brawler, not much different than Tank Abbot. Putting him against Shamrock isnt a big matchup. Shamrock is older now, and loses often to his younger, quicker, and more technical counterparts.
And Kimbo is one of the biggest names for Elite. Theyd be stupid to put him up against real competition for him to lose to and blow all that buzz. He needs time to train and become better at his ground game.

Ken shamrock before his career was cuput, yes he would rip him a new a hole. But tito otiz showed shamrock was no longer able to fight and his chin was now weak. Although he is still a great specimen (inshape to the max) a fighters time is limited. It maybe a fight, a year or even 10 years, but fighting is a limited sport. Just like in football. Too many concussions (steve Young) - he was a great QB and in my mind had many seasons left but due to medical problems he had to hang it up. I think alot of fighters who dont get hurt lose their edge. They dont train as hard, they loose speed and raw agression over time

I think Kimbo would get his can kicked all over the place against serious UFC conpetition. I think Brock Lesnar would demolish him. Brock did have a nice match against Heath Herring. I would love for Kimbo to get smacked around by UFC elite fighters.

heh...I will be watching this on the big screen!
I hope its all its been hyped to be. Shamrocks past fights recently have all been duds. It will be interesting to see if Kimbo can do more than just stand-up.
Of all the fights, I am interested to see Carano fight. For a female, she is interesting to watch. Hopefully her skills improve over the years, that will make her the female face of MMA.
i'm looking forward to this:appl:

i'll double post...
WTF!!!! Kimbo down and out...... Wtf is going to happen with EliteXC now...lol
KEVIN "KIMBO SLICE" FERGUSON (3-0) VS. SETH PETRUZELLI (9-4)
Round 1 - Petruzelli tries an early knee and then drops Slice with a right to the chin. Petruzelli immediately goes in for the kill and blasts the staggered heavyweight with a barrage of punches. Slice rolls to his back, and the onslaught continues. The referee moves in for the potential stoppage, and after the punches continue raining down, the bout is quickly halted. Petruzelli has stunned and silenced this Florida crowd with a remarkable performance. Seth Petruzelli def. Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson via TKO -- Round 1, 0:14.

Well, makes you wonder what would have happened against Shamrock.
Elite will continue to do fine. Its free, and people like free. They still have Lawler, they supposedly will sign Ortiz...basically they will mop up all the fighters that the UFC treated poorly. As long as they put on an exciting show, they will do fine.
At this moment though, the UFC production is by far a better event. Dont know what it is, but the fight-endings on EXC seem anti-climactic.

Yes, Elite's productions values definately seem shabby by comparison.
Good to see Slice exposed for the amatuer he is. Maybe now they can focus their attention on the real fighters. It was good to see Arlovski again.

i love it. to all the post that thought kimbo was going to drag shamorck around the ring. i've met seth. and my friend that trained with him told me he was up to fight kimbo if anything was to happen to shamrock. thats crazy. seth was pumped for that fight.
so i gotta say i was pulling for seth the whole um-teen seconds that fight lasted. thats two in-a-roe for me. i was pulling for rashad last month. :sonar::sticktongue:

That fight could not have happened any better I dont think. Kimbo getting his a$$ handed to him in the first round and it only took 14 sec.!!:rofl2: Not to mention in front of his home town:lol2:
Kimbo was and has been nothing!! I am sure now that this happened they will say that he was not ready for this fight and did not train for Seth. If so what happened to the line that got him there, "I will fight any one any time, any where" :smarty: Now What!!

LOL. Your a month too late. This was about Elite XC and Kimbo Slice, not the Rampage fight with Griffin.

i thought it was new since they were playing it on the same time as the kimbo fight.
do you think the cut was staged to keep shamrock from fighting? I mean i seen the stitches but, it seems too... well set up
They didnt even have anything regarding the back out of shamrock until the show aired, at least on elites website. did you see they were selling tickets, in groups of no less than 8 minimum and 200 a piece?
I was in south Floriuda this weekend for work and thought about staying. Glad i didnt.
I was also glad to see arlowski, but the guy he fought was well, i thought was a joke.
