Well, I'm here at work bored out of my mind as its been a slow week in Vernals EMS world. It occures to me that I spend alot of tome on here talking to ya'll and don't know much about any of you.
My screen name is real origonal as my real name is Bryce Eden.
I am 22 years old and currently live in Vernal, UT.
I have lived in Vernal UT, Rock Springs WY, Christiansburg VA, Lynchburg VA, Beckley WV, Cowen WV(how many of you know where that is? population was like 200) Marietta OH, and back to Vernal UT.
I own a Paintball Proshop called Paintball Addiction which I'll have to post some pics of, but I am not there much anymore as I have another job that pays more and I like better. I also run a Tourney Ciruit in ciry parks and fair grounds, and am working on getting a field open(land disputes suck!!!).
I work full time(actually about 80 hours a week) as an EMT and am in a Paramedic program. I live at the station.

So you guys don't post huh.. thats nice. I hated getting the bus from the dispatch center and then driving to some parking lot in BFE waiting for calls. We have Gold Cross up here too. Never looked into them though. How is their salary scale?
You have a nice set up there. The other service I did clinicals with had a converted gas station as a base.. it was ok.. but boring....
I have worked the last 10 years, prior to coming here that is, in hospital based EMS and I have to say that I will never go back to a station house after that. There is so much going on in the hospital that you can't help but learn like crazy. I would spend most of my time in ICU, or ER, and if you got in good with the Docs, they would let you do most of the workup with them looking over your shoulder.

Nope we don't post, Vernal is small enough we don't have to yet(we only have 6 ambulances run from this station) the Salt Lake employees do, but here in Vernal things are run pretty different than SLC. We do spend alot of time driving around the buisness part of town and such. We only have one crew at the station at any given time all the other people are paid volenteers and just have to be with in 5 min of the station when they are on what we refer to as second call. Truthfully I think most of our volenteers just do it so they can claim they work for Gold Cross and feel good about themselfs, most work at most four shifts a month.
I wouldn't mind posting too much, but I don't think I could take staying in the hospitle(our ER seems like a constant soap opera I'd go nuts)
The Gold Cross I work for is strictly Utah based, they only cover Vernal and Salt Lake City, it must be a different Gold Cross there. Here Gold Cross is amongst the lowest paying Ambulance services in the state, but we have AWSOME equipment and our station is way nice so it kind of makes up for it. Out of the three services around here we have us with Gold Cross, one runs out of the UBMC hospitle(we deliver to ARMC) and is hospitle based but isn't very well run, and the third is Ute tribe Ambulance which is a joke but pays very well and has a government benafit package. If I ever were to get hurt I'd definatly want to be in Gold Cross's area.

Me? Im a nobody. 35 y/o, married, 1 dog, 1 cat no kids which is why I can spend so much time and money on Paintball. Stupid job that mentally exhausts me for 10 hrs a day. The only good thing is that I get to beat mexicans like pinatas until my heart's content (just kidding) I live in Staten Island, NY - which now is the highest point on the east coast (and highest cancer rate) thanks to the now closed Fresh Kills landfill.
I have a BA in computer science and with a minor in psychology. I had previously pursued a degree in Electro-mechanical technology. I also have a diploma in Automotive Technology and have spent a few years working in garages. I was ASE certified in two areas, along time ago.
I ended up really despising the auto industry. Too many shady characters and swindlers.
I have no clue how I ended up in Logistics. It sucks, but pays the bills.
I have been playing this game since August of 1991 when an old buddy from high school literally dragged me out kicking and screaming to play. Began my journey into paintball as every noobie should - with a pump gun in hand.
I have tried to be a positive member of the online paintball community. I however really ****ing hate online jerkoffs and spinsters and sometimes let my Italian mentality get the better of me.
I also dislike where paintball as a whole is headed. IMO we all need to get our heads out of our °°°°° and do our best to make this all fun again.
I miss the good old days of being ignorant - cus you know what they say "Ignorance is Bliss"

Me too, me too. But the sport can still be fixed and made fun again, I proved that. The industry is a mess, but with the curent sales slump I think that will begin to be fixed because of nessesity, manufactures are starting to feel it now big time so they'll be looking for a fix.

You know me as FiXeL, but my real name is Jorrit Haarsma. Kinda odd for a american, because i'm not. I live in The Netherlands, windmills, tulips, wooden shoes, weed, all that good stuff. (no i don't smoke teh ganja) I have some relatives in the states tho, in Etters PA. Been there once too, but i don't remember alot because i was only 6 years old. But i do remember the glass door from the kitchen to the back yard... I banged my head on that because i was so eagerly to see the swimming pool and never noticed the door... :D
Currently i'm 31 years old, and my occupation is CNC milling at a machine factory in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. I work with machines like this:
http://members1.chello.nl/u.haarsma/Tac-one/DSCN3238.JPG
Its a CNC vertical milling machine. Basicly you program the things you want to do, (XYZ movements) hang the right tools in it and start milling/drilling/whatever. You are limited to only 3-axis milling, but it comes in handy for custom jobs. I've already milled some parts for my mags and have some other stuff in the works. Other than that i machine parts for customers. :) Next year i also will be doing a 2nd job at the local paintball field. With prices these days and my current paintball expences you kinda have to.
When i'm not working i'm living at home, rental apartment in Dokkum NL. I'm currently single now, and it shows. (not many have a compressor in their living room) I don't have much of an education because i screwed that all up... But considering that i did not do that bad. I started into paintball due to my oldest sister who was playing, and as a former FPS online shooter i naturally got interested.. Things have gotten worse ever since... Other interests like paintball are beer, music, computers, and tech stuff... Also i own a cat, i love em and he's (it because he's nutured) about 10 years old now. Too bad cats have to shed so much hair...

Nice to see a fellow machinist. I have a college education as a machinist with one year of experience. I loved the job but the lifestyle was not for me. I decided to quit my job and restart school, this is my second year in biochemestry. I'm 23 yrs and i have two fish. During school, i only study and read on paintball. When school is over during the summer, i move back home, go to the gym everyday, go paintballing as much as possible and work in a hardware store.

My name is Martin, I am 37 years old. I have been married for 15 years, have two children who are trying to put me in an early grave...but I love them. I am paying the bank to own my own home about 26 years from now...lol. Many of you know about my recent activities, so I will skip that.
I have spent the last 10 years as a low voltage electrician, doing mostly controls and CCTV. I also have experiance with in home audio/video. Before that I worked as a pneumatic tech for airtools such as nailers and staplers. It was a good background for the understanding of paint markers which in essence work very similarly. I have also worked a long list of retail establishments and the service industry including a stint as a salt water fish and coral importer. It was really fun.
I went to school for culinary arts and yes, I can actually cook. I realized that I didn't want to do it on a commercial scale and squandered what could have become a very lucrative career. I have recently been giving thought to studying for an IT career as I will need to find something less physical.
I really enjoy(ed) motorcycle riding, camping, spending too much time on a computer, and of course paintball. I started playing in 97 and my goal is to compete in the CFOA again with my prothetic leg.

Thats a good question, I think so but possably not real well as the battery gets pretty hot with much use.
rudz here, also know as RUdzeyenrkncpt via AIM, which is where my screen name came from, RU are my initials, Ralph Uriarte, dzeyenr kncpt stands for designer concept, i have an ascociates degree in graphic design, i was working on my bachelors, but left school and gave up design after i had a detahced retina in my left eye, not being able to drive had alot to do with it, maybe one day ill go back to school, but as of now, paying loan payments suck, or should i say, avoiding loan payments, credit cards suck also, now im in Riverside, California and i work for a printing company, i help run the press and its not the greatest job, but it keeps me out of trouble, when im not working im at my new place, yes i finally left mommy and daddys!!!! or at the bar, or running amonk with freinds, i kinda need to stay away from the bar, it steals my money, and its kinda said that no matter when i go there, i know most of everyone in there, and have all the bar tenders shifts memorized..
i love paintball and got back into paintball full force about a month or 2 after i started my current job, blew every last time i had at the time on a beautifiul karta tunamax emag, and never looked back, i fell in love with AO and the AGD, i dont know what id do without some of the freinds ive made here, and i guess you can all blame tmaxxking from dragging me to AO in the first place
the first time i actually held a paintball marker was at my cousins house, it was a cheap plastic marker from brass eagle, de la walmart, of course i made my mommy buy me one, and a container of 250 paintballs and some 12 grams, i had a blast shooting everything i saw, i had buddy who had a spyder back in high school, but i never played with them, now i was so cool, i had this awesome gun that shot paintballs!!! of course my sister got one, and when my older brother saw us shooting in the back yard, he and other cousin, went and splurged on some brass eagle semi auto guns, man those things were so fast!!!, so after i broke a handful of guns from walmart, i took my hard earned measly paycheck from my construction job, and splurged on a spyder e99, 12v revvy, and a 20 oz co2 tank, and well the semi guys werent to happy..so well now i had no one to play with since all the freinds i did play renagade with had plastic pump guns, and one or two of em had semis, i had the first elctro and i was the man, but they all told me to go to hell, cuz i shot to fast. eventually my cousin got another electro and between 2 electros and 2 mech semis we had some fun , but i fell in love with it, and for everyone else, it was just a summer fad, and my uncle told us we couldnt play in his backyard anymore, because someone went rambo on the back of the hosue...wasnt me that time i swear....
i set the spyder aside for a time, untill i got my emag, then i gave it away to my brother nad he apparently lost it, i was actually pretty ****ed, that gun never broke on me, ran fin on co2, and she was the first gun i fell in love with, since my bastard freind broke my brass eagle talon...oh yeah im 23, a capricorn, single, with no kids, and can probably drink more than you

Well I live in the middle of no where. Serious, Panhandle of Nebraska. I'm over 35 but act like I'm 20. I've got four kids I love dearly. So they take up a ton of my time. If I'm not with them I'm a photoshop ninja during the weekdays. I work for Cabela's. A little sporting goods place. I've played paintball with Bryce here and I make a pilgrimage to Illinois once a year to SPE(Spring Pump Event) which my buddy Spaceman puts on.

Hi all. Im 35, married just over a year with 2 dogs.
Anjin is my screen name and also the name I go under as an artist. It comes from the book Shogun.
I work for a living making video game art. Anyone played Golden Tee Golf,Silver Strike Bowling or Target Toss Pro?
I also do freelance illustration, concept design, graphic design, comic book coloring, and have been in a few gallery shows. I was extremely lucky to be in an art show with the owner of Heavy Metal magazine and creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman....really nice guy I have to say.
I have been playing paintball for about 2 years or so...my wife is the one who really got me into the game. I had played a few times back in college...but nothing serious till recently.
I live about 35 miles west of Chicago in what has been called "the nations best suburb"....lol...not sure if thats good or bad.

I almost miss hearing people say that, I only lived in WV for about year total between Beckley and Cowen when I was 19, I just couldn't take all the trees way too claustrophobic for me.

Well I am Dean "Deano" Goulet.. my user name comes from me being a full time paramedic and my initials DVG.. no I am not telling you what the "V" stands for, and its not Vincent.
lets see.. I am recently divorced. No kids, a GF who lives in my house which the bank owns. I work as a private contract medic (at least for the next month) in a small FOB in Iraq taking care of the civilian population of the camp.
I served briefly in the Army Reserves back in the 80's until I was medically discharged after an accident.
I was first exposed to paintball in the late '80s and didn't know what the hell I was getting into. All I remember is the pump I rented had to have .50 cal paint and weighed a ton. But I was hooked and have been ever since.
When I get home, I am going back to school to finish my nursing degree, as well as work part time in the Er of the local hospital. I may ride the bus every now and then, but that is a young man's game, and as I just turned 40, those 3am nursing home runs just make me grumpy.
Other then that I am pretty boring. I have worked as a professional chef and like about 80% of the food service industry, love to cook and am good at it, but hate commercial food service. I have also worked as a certified greens keeper (ala Carl Spangler), IT tech, Cell phone antenna installer (the BIG ones, not the ones on your car), Firefighter, Arson investigator, and general bum around town.
I hope to play paintball from a wheelchair when I am 108 but more then likely won't make it past 65 the way I am going.. lol
Oh, I am from Northern Wisconsin, live on a lake, and havnen't been fishing in over 2 years -- go figure.
