Ive been quietly working on some stuff for the fast approaching '08 season. :ninja:

It took some bribing(yes, $$$) to get Colin to go back to the drawing board and recreate his machining code so that these could be done. The Chord v2's have been in the works since the summer! Anybody that has sent Colin a Slug knows that these things take time. :dance:

For those who arent familiar with the Chord, they are the ORIGINAL mag Ripper style body, and arguably the best. Machined from an authentic AGD Slug body. :cheers:

They will come polished and anodized gloss black, with the RPG Sub-Zero feedneck and RPG ReTents.

Im out of the office at the moment, but here are some pics I found of the Chord v2, for your viewing pleasure. :D

his stuff is black and black only... maybe a dust here or there.....

so any other color will most likely have to be done after the fact.

However, I would get one from Shawn if I hadn't just gotten my Dallara from DW.

I am excited about the resurgence of the aftermarket mag scene, there is even a NEW body out over at AO.

No, he wont. His code was corrupted, and he didnt have time to mess with it. So I paid for him to rebuild the code and his time in doing so, and for that I have an exclusive. If you want a Chord, the only place to get one is from me.

Since this is PBL, I can tell you guys one of the surprises. Most chord bodies are Automag/MiniMag length. To my knowledge, there is only 1 that is E-mag length, and that is OEM Petey's?

I will have chords available in both lengths, both Automag/MiniMag as well as E-mag.

Makes sense.. Like I said before.. I am just excited to see the Mag getting some attention again what with XT Customs, Yours, and PTP all coming out with some new and reworked designs, its not just the old straight tube ULE body anymore.

That and there are some different trigger frames out there.. and no one is *****ing about licenses and patents... and things are getting made..

Its good to see.

Yeah, dont want to be a killjoy, but enjoy it while it lasts. The market isnt getting bigger, and sub-$150 markers are the new rave---so this attention will fade. Usually when there is no money to be made by dealers/aftermarket guys. Sad, but true.

You are buying a finshed product. If you already have a slug, you will be able to do a trade-in that will give a credit towards the purchase price.

This is true BUT all the Mag guy's I know are nothing short of junkies ( turned a couple of guy's myself) & once you get the Mag bug it just won't go away , heck one guy I know spent his mortgage money on a X mag , I know I stash as much as I can away from the wife's prying eyes
heck a lot of us are fixin to spend probley 400$ on a body let alone a whole marker

I have no illusion that AGD is a status quo company, and that this is a flat market, but its still nice to see some innovation and thought being put back towards the venerable mag!

I like the the Chord V2 better than the XT. The lines are smoother and more uniform, there are no section of the body that stands out from not blending with one another. If i'm not mistaken, the first rippers had an unpolished finish and had a weird front milling that didn't match with the back curves of the body. The v2 looks top notch and very impressive. If i had the money, i would buy this body over any other.

The ripper and the chord aren't really my style.. kinda like the dragon intimidator.. they look too organic and comic book to me.

I like the classic lines of the Dallara, and I kinda like the lines of the new XT design. But then again, the simplicity of the ULE bodies are ok for me too.

However, I think we are all in agreement that the 'ripper' looks like Bender's ***** and not a paintball marker.

There will be as many as there are buyers for.

I havent given thought to priority. If I was to lean towards giving priority though, first priority would go to those paying cash only, then to those who want to trade in a slug body they bought from me, then to those who want to trade in a slug body they bought from elsewhere. The amount of credit is yet to be determined, what I do know is that it will be less than the original purchase price.

I think I've got a good idea of about how much these will be, and I wish I could afford it at the moment :( I'd absolutely love to build the pneumag I've been planning around the new Chord body. Of course, I'd also like one of your new grip frames for sed project, wish I wasn't so broke :D
