I fully expect the Republicans to tear the living crap out of Obama for not knowing what the name on his bracelet was.

Interesting. While I noticed his stutter, I thought it was only to include 'the mother of' rather than saying 'the soldier'. It seemed to me at least he didnt want to make it sound like he may have gotten a bracelet from a fallen soldier.

I watched it again just to catch anything I may have missed the first time around. All I can say is that I was neither shocked nore surprised. They are both full of empty rhetoric. McCain kept playing the "You don't understand" experience card and Obama just played out the past without talking about the future. All of the different network pundits crack me up. Fox guys obviously thought McCain was the winner and CNN guys were all about Obama. Just a bunch on non-objective talking heads.

Look at it again. He's staring right at the thing for far too long which, along with the mother/soldier screwup, seems to show that he didn't know the name. Classic blunder, which he set himself up for.

Obama debated and beat Bush. McCain hit Obama in the flank while he was engaged frontally assaulting Bush, barely coming out ahead in the attack. Both can claim victory over their debate opponent.
