Tonight my little self-adopted cat got out somehow, and is now missing.
I say self-adopted because she adopted me, after getting in through my bathroom window.
She was here for a week, and just stuck around. She was sweet, playful, and very good natured.
From her size and general demeanor i estimated her to be 10months to a year or so old.

She was a sweetheart, I named her Roastbeef.

She was a gorgeous Black and white domestic shorthair, black body with white bib, lowerbelly and paws.

It's been a long time since I've had any sort of pet and her coming into my life made a pretty big impact for some reason, it was nice to come home to something small and beautiful. I'd open the door and come in, and she' come say hello, and snuggle up to me.

I'll miss Xbox live sessions late at night with her on my lap. or playing with her little catnip toy on a length of string, bating her and leading her around with it.

I didn't even get the chance to get some tags on her, just some ghetto 3 in 1 flea collar to make due until I had the money for something better.
here are two pictures I took of her I took the day she ninja'd herself into my life.

I knew there was a possibility that she'd leave by choice or by acciden,t but I dind't realize I'd be this upset when it happened.

Cute cat.. maybe she is making the rounds and will come back in a few days or so. Our old house-cat would do that.. He would come home and have a new colar or something.. I think at least 4 houses fed him..

I most certainly hope so.
It's breaking my heart.

Well there are tons of cats that need homes at animal shelters. If this one doesn't come back, you can always adopt a RoastBeef II.

True, kind of heartless, but true. My old dog use to run away all the time and would comeback when she got hungry. I don't know anything about cats but maybe similar?

Reminds me of the episode of Simpsons where Snowball is going between families for the food.....

Cats are just that way, they choose their owners. Probably went back where it actually lives.

Thought of putting posters up in the neighbourhoud or the grocery store? People do that over here. Unfortunatly i know how it feels to lose a cat... I had a red furred one that i really loved, but one day left off without returning. I fear he got hit by a car, or just plain left me. Not knowing what happened is by far the worst. In a way i feel lucky i still have my other cat, but he's so old he won't be going anywhere. He'll only go out when its warm outside and doesn't wander far from the house.

She came back. I am a happy child.

She's looking kinda roughed up, and her back and side seems tender, she gets fussy when I pet her there.

I'll take her to the vet tomorrow morning.

Happy for ya Tri. Those darn animals seem to leave a big hole in one's heart when they leave. Good to see the cat back.

i also had a kitten for all of 2 days. she followed my brother home one day and he got attached. Ive always like cats but ive had dogs all my life, i dont want to chance having them meet. Im sure my dog would tear any cat it sees apart.

I hope all goes well at the vet, ive got such a soft spot for little innocent animals like kittens.

My cat is 19 lbs and just sits on my drum stool alllllllllll day, ocassionally hitting a symbol and scaring itself.

Good to hear your cat came back.
I've had a couple of my cats leave for a while and come back beaten up.

I found a kitten outside the metal venue in town last night.

I took it home and named it Lucy Fur, because it's a fuzzy girl and I was at a black metal concert.
