Well, Saturday I'm heading off to the International School of Tactical Medicine (http://www.tacticalmedicine.com/index.html) in Palm Springs, CA. So um, what is there to do in that part of the country(considering I don't drink and have a limited budget) durring my limited off time? I figure I might try to hit SC Village's Halloween night game, but thats probably about the extent of the traveling away from Palm Springs I'll be able to afford and I'll be there for two and a half weeks. Whats worth doing while I'm there?

Haha don't forget to mention you have to entertain a 16 year old too.

I'm his ride out, but he's on his own to fill 2 1/2 weeks of time. I have no idea what hes going to do, hopefully he's got a good amount of money for entertainment for himself(I'm sure not paying)

If you golf, take your gear.

:thatfunny:I went golfing one time, never again. Looking at all the stuff online I'm getting the impression that there isn't much to do there at all.

you could almost screw a hooker legally. They are putting a law through to de-criminalize it.

Its really a resort town. Meant for sitting by the pool, grabbing some drinks, etc. There are supposed to be some casinos within short distance, but you dont seem the gambling type(pardon me if I am wrong). But, you should be able to maybe see some good shows at them, if thats your thing. Palm Springs also has a 'strip', with clubs/bars for dancing and drinking. Or shopping during the day if thats your thing. I know some people go out to the surrounding desert to ride dirt bikes/quads/etc.
I guess it depends on what YOU like to do to be able to recommend something in the area.

No, I can't gamble I loose way too much and have a really hard time stopping once I've started. My problem is that I've never been there and now I'm there for 2 1/2 weeks, I'll be in class mon-friday days and have some studying and such after but still plan to have some free time but I can't find anything in Palm Springs to do. I'm going to go hit one of the semi close paintball fields probably SC village but other then that I've got nothing. I don't drink and absolutly can't stand drunks so bars and clubs are probably out, last thing I need is to be arrested for punching out a drunk.

Well, as previously stated there are plenty of golf courses. You could take a ride to the coast, 100 miles, like Orange County. There is Disneyland about 90
miles away.
You can take the Tram ride up to the top of Mount San Jacinto, there is always snow up there. Interesting since the desert floor will reach 120 plus in the middle of summer. There is a restuarant up there I believe, at least there used to be.
Other than that there is not much else to do. Relax in the 70 to 80 degree weather.
