Sorry, I'm having a bad morning with dumb little AGG kids. What about them ticks you off the most. For me its the constant BpS talk. A kid with a very nice Marq 7 was getting crap for using an Egg3 on it and told to get a Halo or Pulse he was also called a noob by a bunch of I-O-N shooters. No one gives me crap for using a Fasta on mine but I think thats because they think I only use it because I have to which isn't true. When did a persons hopper become a show of skill? I am so glad I only have one AGGlet who frequents my games and store.

Didnt you know? Its all about ROF. These kids spend more time worrying about having 'the best' than about playing.

What BE said ^^^

In addition to what BE said... They are more interrested in making drop tests on youtube than playing

I'm not too familiar with the new terms. I figure AGG means dumb or noob, but please correct me on this term. I have been out of the paintball world for 5 years and i'm still trying to catch up with the new paintball slang.

I hate the trash talking, smackdown of a conversation, overly aggressive when they don't have to be, stupid know it all 13 year old ****head.

Frankly if I want to be sassed by a 13 year old, I would have stayed married and put up with my stepkids.

Agg started as a surfer term meaning aggressive, it was adopted by Dynasty and then PBN afew years ago. Idiots use it to mean about everything cool anymore. But yes, if they all burn their Ego 7s and get some Mechs or pumps untill they get some skill they probably wouldn't care about thier make belive BPS ability(my agglett claims he shoots 19bps in pure true semi, but for some reason my 13-14ish still sounds faster its wierd how that works) because they'd actually be able to play instead of talk. My local kids big accomplishment that he's super proud of is he shot me as I bunkered him and we both got called out. He doesn't comprehend that my team was up 4 to 1 and I planned on trading or I would have run past the other side of his bunker. He really doesn't understand team work period, if his team ever wins its because of him but when they loose which is most of the time its everyone elses fault. Its sad because some of his team mates are awsome guys who are just out for fun and I really enjoy playing with, one agglett can ruin alot really fast.

I agree with all that everyone has stated so far so.......I just tell them that their marker must be better than mine and then shoot out their team on the speedball field. No...usually I have help from my team but I have been known to run a speedball field in my day. "I'm the fastest fatman you ever saw.....I'll be on your forty before you can breakout." "Outlaw5"

What bothers me most about agglets is that they are all talk and no game. Especially when they're losing. I hate complainers, winers, and braggarts.

I almost never talk smack, I'd much rather people remember me for how I played on the field than what I said off it. It only makes sense that that's what I respect in a player, one who can represent on the field and not make a big deal of it off the field.

That is crazy how people judge others in paintball because of there gun or clothing. 2 weeks ago we where playing a game and some new kids showed up. They made the new kids pick teams. I got picked last because i had my viking with no hopper because i was one balling. Funny thing is they picked up the kids with A5s first then jersey guys then what ever was left over got picked up last. i guess if you have ripped up shorts and a pearl jam concert tshirt on. you are not a good paintballer.
It was fine with me i still recorded 6 out of the 8 kills and my team won.:D

Having returned to the sport in the last few months I played a lot at the fields around Sacramento, we have about 5 feilds with 1.5 hours. I noticed these kids are really into talking **** and love to look down on peoples EQ. I try and be as nice to everyone on the field as possible. Walkon's, rentals, Pro's and staff, whoever. Because paintball day is my day off from being an adult and I want to blast people, get blasted, smile and pat backs.
However sometimes I just want to tell the kid yelling "get him out" at the ref that you have to hit someone for him to "get them out".
All in all though I am to laid back to let the AGG stuff get under my skin, because someday they will have to buy their own gear, then designer mask straps will be the last thing on their minds...paint to barell match will become the obsession. :o

In a two words....maturity and respect.
Its the agg teens that think they run the world and all must bow to their uber skillz that gets me. There is no respect for other players, they smack talk if your new, dont have the "cool" gear, or just dont look the part.
Also I think some of it has to do with the internet.
When I was 18 there is no way I would ever say to an adult **** off...but read through PBnation and I see it all the time. Hidden behind the internet they just have no respect for adults.

Really its sort of an arrogance. Not every teen kid is this way, and plenty of adults are...so I dont mean to bash just the teens.
Anyone who is arrogant just gets to me.

I think how I feel about the agg thing can be summed up by the Argyle DM5.

It is ridiculous looking, pointless, and perpetuates idiocy.

I liked the anno. I would shoot it. And I am far from AGG.....

I hate the lack of respect for fellow players. The fact that they will cheat, play on, overshoot, try run by after being hit to get a one for one.....the fact that they pretty much embody all that is causing the downfall of paintball. Pretty much all that was lost in the sportsmanship and fun of the sport happened as the AGG attitude became prevelant.

We are fortunate enough to have very few Agglets at my local field. When I do run afoul of them, the part that really ****es me off is the looking down on others, because of their gear. My friend and I are playing more pump, as we like to play pump. The local aggidiots have come to respect the fact that their 4 trillion bps guns don't save them from the embarassment on being eliminated by a slow, non sliding, can't crouch for long, oldschool, pump toting, non agg, fat guy... Makes me smile when they are busy yelling about where I am :)

By and large the disrespect is the most annoying. Our team is dedicated to teaching new players. I spend Friday playing and running pickup drills, because it was fun. I hope some of the younger players learned a little about cover and snap shooting. The two aggidiots had nothing good to say, and wouldn't put their money where their mouths were and play a game with me and a walk on... Just spent the time saying I was wasting time on a newb...

I would have to disagree. The guys on here, from what I have discerned, are the type of people whom I grew up with in this sport. Rather then talk trash about your marker, they will help you fix it. If they can't fix it, they loan you one that you can use... If they are eliminated, they don't throw their markers on the ground or pick a fight, they say "good shot".

Maybe I am putting standards on the group, I don't konw.. But come TunaBall, I hope to find out.

I would say, for the most part you hit the nail on the head.

When I went to AO South, I was amazed at how outwardly friendly everyone was. I enjoy that type of comradarie. I think by and large most here and a good many of the old folks from AO share this mindset in common.

How many threads are we going to have in this forum that'll be anti agg?

We had a good 3-4 a week over at AO, sometimes more.

I read this whole thread & then thought about it ; it's not just in the sport we love , it's this whole (almost)10 to 18 year old generation , they have very little respect for anything or anyone & they have to be better than the next guy (or girl) no matter how much it cost's mom & dad
this is the opinion of a 48 year old moron ( some kid's would say)

The Invert Mini forum is a very small population of the paintball community as a whole.

You are correct in a way, 'the guys on here'. They are JUST that. The Guys on here.
This forum doesn't make up 1/100th of a percent of the entire paintball population.

Of the 50< people that post here, all play with respect and maturity, its a somewhat flawed argument.

And that is why I like it here, on AO, and UMS....people who care about helping others, people who seem to play with respect. There isnt much, if any..."oh you shoot a (insert marker) so you suck" ( unless its a gun from smart parts). It just doesn't happen here.Thats what I like about it. I don't care if we are the only people in all of paintball who act like this...cause these are the types of players I want to associate with.
I don't really care if someone is decked to the hilt in a all the latest greatest gear.... but if they are a stand up person, and play with integrity then they are ok by me.
Its that arrogant attitude...the I am better then you... because I am me....I cant take that. I don't care if that comes from a seasoned player, a noob, or an agglett.
I try...try that is...to base my judgment of peole on their individual character...but I will admit there are many aggletts that give themselves a bad name IMHO.

i have been to quite a few ao meets and for the most part, i have seen ao members fixed players guns, teach other players, and respect all players, i remember one day piranti sat and tried to tune a kids i-o-n and we were pretty helpful to the kid, we didnt make fun of his gun, we didnt say s-p was the devil, we helped him,, because he was a younger player and was having trouble with his gear, im sure he had no idea what agd was or what a mag was, but maybe that kid will remember how we were to him, and one day when somone else needs help, he can show them the same kind of kindness we showed him. we dont make fun of kids with high end flavor of the week guns, some of those kids worked hard to pay for there gear, and others didnt, i have seen the agg kids curse and argue with eachother on feilds, pick fights and what not, they are a bunch of tennage boys, one day they will learn

I havent really come in contact with very many "agg" kids. I just havent. At the field i go to every weekend, by and lare, the crowd is just plain cool. One of the nicest most mature and responsible players there is 16 and certainly "looks" like he would be an agg kid, but he isnt. At all. He is just a cool kid who loves paintball, polite, mature, and courteous.

Im sitting here trying to think of a time when i had to deal with these agg kids, and short of a brief time over at PbN, i just havent. Or, maybe if i have, just didnt realize it.

:shrugs:

Hey, good news for me then.

Ha ha, I must be slow, that or surround myself with good people. Not really sure what a AGGlet is. The place I usually play has imo just a bunch of really good people that like to play the game for what it is. There is no trash talk or throwing of markers (unless you count ditchin the weight to run a little faster with the flag :p) If i ever have heard any bs from someone i do what i would do anywhere...... I don't listen to it. God help me but, I'm too old to care what the little kiddies think. Let them whine, it falls on def ears to me.

Quite honestly, I've run into only a few bad apples. The last time I was out there was a kid who refused to put his mask down on the field while he was working on his marker and chronoing. I asked him politely the first two times. After that I let him know how things were going to be if he refused again. He did, of course, so I involved management, so to speak. Went got the working head ref followed by the owner, both of which I consider friends. Actually, I know the whole reffing staff out there and ref sometimes myself, which I pointed out, but you can't tell kids anything these days.
