This is the blank extrusion that all RT Pro/E-mag rails, and even the RT Classis rails were machined from. It would go from this piece directly to be machined into one of the previously listed rails.

It is exactly as it looks coming directly from the extruder. This is one is cut to length for RT Pro/E-mag rails. The RT Classic rail is slightly different in length.

For RPG rails, this extrusion would only be machined for the AGD spec-critical areas; 1)PIM hole 2)Sear Axle Hole 3)Field Strip Screw Hole 4)Z-Groove

To my knowledge, there are no others in extrusion form currently outside of AGD. There may be others, but its the only one I am aware of.

so your saying slug rails were extruded ( drawn through a die ) ? I was allways under the empression they were machined

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

Yes, thats what Im saying. They are extruded, and then machined. The shape you see would be VERY expensive to machine from a block of aluminum. The pic you see is an extrusion made from dies AGD had made back in the 90's. Not only was I told it starts as an extrusion, when I received the slug rails I purchased years ago they were shipped to me in the original carton from the extruder that had their name, address, the lot#, part#, etc.

I've had one, and as a machinist i can confirm they are extruded. The one i had did have the basic holes in it, so it was just a matter of machining it on the outside.

I had plans of making a custom rails, but i dropped them and sold the rail.
