when was the last time you took a new player out to play ? I'm talkin a complete noob , everything they used (gear)was yours

Last year I took my neighbor, his wife, and one of their friends ballin. They all used borrowed gear and had a great time. All of them played a few more times. One of them played quite a bit more, becoming somewhat regular.

When I recover, I plan on taking my cousin to play. He is really looking forward to it.

I took my stepson. He and I went out to shoot targets at the field. I think he had a spyder rodeo or my old PT Extreme pistol..

He didn't want to get shot, so I figured that this would be the next best thing for him.

Couple months ago: took one of my old high school classmates to an outlaw game at a friend's place. He used my gear and paint and had a blast. He is temporarily in Cali, but e-mails me every week asking if I've gone paintballing lately and that he'll go again when he gets back.

I have a buddy I've been begging to go but his butt is afraid to get shot after seeing some of the bruises I get from it.. I will be dragging his *** to the field as his xmas gift this yr.. im betting he will play more after the first hit is over.... something about the first hit.. oh well, I will repost when we finally go and will let you guys kn.ow....

Afew weeks ago, I talked my boss into coming to play.

About 3-4 months ago. Got a friend of a friend to come play with me at one of the AO SoCal events. I was worried the level of skill would scare him off but he held his own and had a great time.

Before that was about 1 year ago. I got my brother in law to come play with a group of buddies. He had a great time and we ended up getting him a marker for christmas.

October. I took my GF for her first time playing. We went to a big game at Paintball Sam's, which also serves as the biannual AO WI, IL, and MN meet'n'greet.

When We used to play every day over summer, I'd take a new player every weekend.

I went through a lot of mags and other markers getting people into paintball.

Wasn't the smartest choice financially, but 90% of them still play, or have given the markers to other new players.

actually, a bunch of times this year. Got Two of them hooked too. Now they have all their own gear and everything.

I took my brother out to play this summer. He borrowed my gear. He won't be a regular player, though, as he lives overseas in a location which does not allow the ownership of paintball guns.

Other than that, I don't know anybody else that's a complete newbie.

This past weekend (sun) I took a new guy , he had never held a paintball gun , I let him use Greenie a R/T Pro that just cooks , he loved it , had a great time got shot & got to shoot others , the hooks in his mouth just got to set it
with all the gloom & doom I read about the "future " of paintball & because of this guys reaction I've decided that at least every other sunday i'll do my best to get a complete noob to the field , provide him with all the gear & a bag of paint , we play woodsball with a bunch of straight up guys so no overshootin of cheatin here are some pics http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?p=2450361#post2450361

it works great , you wouldn't believe how many comments i've got on the grips ; I was actually thinking of changing it around a little ; Red X , Red cp drop, red barrell tip

Been about 2 years, 25+ in a day. Other than that I have 3 newbies coming out to my game next weekend.

Well good. I DO miss her though. And those grips are fancy indeed.

Just a couple weeks ago i took a budy from work out to my favorite field for a charity game. His wife bought him a $5 closeout gun from farm and fleet. :ohgeez: (has to be better than a rental right) anyway he had a great time. I let him borrow my xmag for a game and he didn't know what to do :D

Either way he had a great time and met alot of good people there. I know when they open back up in the spring he'll be there with me. And probably with a different weapon ;)

I took my son out for the first time this Spring. He was nine at a field around my house. He has gone two times since he turned 10 this 28 AUG 07. No need for me to set any hooks....he was hooked 5 years ago when I gave him my old minimag. Whenever I used to take it for friends or as a backup...I would have to ask him if I could borrow "His" marker. He just loved that and now he is up to butt in playing paintball.

Now I can deflect the....."You always go play paintball and leave me with the kids!"....at least now I take one of the three with me....the oldest. "Outlaw5":D

I rarely bring others with me. Last time i brought a friend was about 5 years ago, he played for the summer but gave it up after that. I like going alone and meeting new people so i don't try to find others to go with.

The friend that i introduced to paintball brought my girlfriend to play recently (they are room mates). She liked it until she got shot on the side of the head from 5 feet away. I don't think they will go again.

Thats why i like the 20 foot rule we have at my field.

I generally always bring at least 1 person with me who is a noob. thats why i have to keep so many guns running. LAst was 2 months ago then he went nuts and bout 1k o gear and a x7 with all the ups.
