They look nice. I think that the protos are about the only markers I haven't shot... Unless you count Greg Hastings...

They're nice. Good choice on color, haha. I actually like the looks of the PMR better than the PM6.

Thanks fellas... they have very little kick and are easy to maintain. They are no way as easy as my mag was, but easy none-the-less.

Thanks again.... I hope to have pictures of my SLG up shortly. It's Proto's latest low cost marker, but by no means is it cheaply made. I has as fully milled body like my PM6 and PMR. It has a composite grip frame, but Proto will be coming out with an aluminum version shortly.

CNC milling a body doesn't say much... most of the costs are setting it up, after that its just machine hours, tools and material. Mass production on a CNC mill can be pretty cheap if set up right. Nonetheless, those are nice markers...

Thanks FiXeL and agreed... once setup it's not a major issue to do a production run, but I was thinking more along the line of the ***. For a few dollars more you can have a nice aluminum body with internal passages rather than a rubber shell with internal hoses that can leak. I guess the SLG is Proto's answer to the *** and for me it's a higher quality marker.
Here's my SLG... fresh out of the box. I need to find my external flash as the built in one is not the greatest, but the picture is fine for now. I need to replace the feedneck and get another Max Flo Micro and she's all set...

Howmuch does it retail for? It looks nice but indeed things like the feedneck and maybe the ASA could be upgraded. I never liked non clamping feednecks, so if i got one that would be the first upgrade i'll get.
Well ** went with a plastic body for the ***, and i think i know why. Milling aluminium bodies is way more expensive than making a injection mold for something you are sure to produce many of. I've seen some production pics from dye, how they mill stuff and its very efficient. But you will need an operator to place new workpieces and replace tools. With a injection mold you will have the costs of making one, but once made and setup in the machine, you could produce them 24/7 with automated plastic granulate feeding and automated stacking for the molded product, something much harder to do with milling. You could mill a body for maybe $30 on a mill, or mold them for just a few bucks. The biggest cost is the die, but when you run some serious numbers with it you could reduce the cost of a molded body to $10.
It's probably also the reason why the SLG has a plastic gripframe... Those are easier to mold than to mill. (and cheaper in large runs)

Once I find a clamping feedneck that matches the ano I'll get it and yes... the ASA needs to be replaced. My Max Flo Micro is on it's way. :) Retail is $249...
