The RPG Splinter rail was the second RPG rail in the rail lineage, after the RPG RogueRail. The Splinter rail gets is design influence from the AGD ULE E-Mag rail...no reason to reinvent the wheel.
It was the first rail that was cut from an AGD Slug rail, and did not have the foregrip or site rail holes. At the time, this feature was something that was not available and was what made this rail so desirable.
Also, the Splinter rail was the first to have the rear accessory slot feature. Something that would allow future accessories.
It was offered in Gloss Black, Dust Black, Gloss Red, and Gloss Blue. The most popular color, which should be no surprise, was Gloss Black.
It sold very well. But all good things come to an end, and it was eventually retired. Occassionally they pop up in the used BST sections on various forums.
