Does everyone listen to?

I'm curious, because I am looking to broaden my musical horizons with anything.

I am sort of stuck in the 80's and early 90's.
Bands that most people think had one album....I have all of them...like The Fixx, Simple Minds or A-HA.
I also am pretty fond of Trance.
I have a soft spot for good pop music.
If you promise not to laugh too much here is a basic list that I havent updated in years....http://www.anjindesign.com/music.htm

I also have a very broad taste in music. Mostly rock (new and classic), but also some country, classical and rap. But absolutely no polka.

I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from anything you can think of.

If there's any particular genre you were thinking about listening to, let me know and I can recommend more than a few bands for you.

Here's a quick screenshot of my itunes genre menu.
Few months old, though.

It should be noted that I'm a neat freak, so obscure genres are compiled into parent genres. Black and Death, and all siblings are put into the Death metal category, etc etc.

Well i have listened to death metal, black, trash, speed, grind, goregrind, ect. for a long time.

Im looking for more ACTUAL HARDCORE AND PUNK (not that new bull****), ska, underground rap, jazz, blues, pyschobilly.....or anything not involving country.

For the more punk stuff, I'd say message Josh (Behemoth) on Instant messenger. He knows his stuff and will get you hooked up fine and dandy.

A good way to get into Jazz, Blues, etc is to download itunes and just use one of their online radio stations.

They have a great many channels, and you can just take it from there.

I listen to everything except rap and hip-hop. I do listen to a few rap or hip-hop songs here or there, but not much at all. I generally like all types of rock, country, and classical. I have really broad tastes overall.

Punk Rock is my flavor of choice, but I listen to a lot of different music. My favorite band is The Offspring followed closely by Dropkick Murphys. May also check out Flogging Molly, they're another favorite of mine. I've also been listeneing to a lot of Nine Inch Nails lately as well...

I am not really a shaker. My stature does not lend itself well to shaking. If I were to shake, I cannot imagine that said shake would be visually appealing in the least.

You mean like Madball, Throwdown, E-Town Concrete, Strife, Snapcase, Sick of it All, Terror, Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, and such?

Those are some good bands. For me, other than trash/black/death and stuff i also like:

Classic Rock, punk, rockabilly, blues, and solo guitarists.

OK I will show my age and stick my nose into this thread. For me, the last couple of years have been interesting. I was a die-hard Metallica fan, but since they all sobered up the only thing their new tunes are good for is loosening my bowels.

I am into any of the old metal groups. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, ect. A few interesting ones that I like are Savatage, EZO, Venom and some Dream Theater. (thats a wide spectrum there isnt it?)

Even after all of these years, Slayer still rocks like no other..

Nowadays Im really into Disturbed. I have all of their CD's in the player in the truck.

Big disturbed and godsmack fan, include slayer for sure.

Have you heard Killswitch engauged's version of HOLY DIVER by DIO?
that **** i play 24/7 on my ipod in the car. Metallic hasnt had anything good since before black album, ---- master of puppets (my fav).

If you like slayer you would like lamb of god, they are also heavy rotation in my ipod.

Dude i totally just got my first Celtic Frost shirt. Im stoked. Dont know why it took so long for me to finally buy one.....and then why it took 5 weeks to ship it to me, but whatever.

I only bring it up because its the "Morbid Tales" shirt.

Lol i have that shirt.

And I really did like Monotheist.

Alot of people shunned it because the Frost had changed drastically, but i like the sludgy, dark atmoshpere to it.

Crap. You got me. I have to tell you, i hadnt heard of these guys untill i hit up your myspace page for your label/distributer. I heard a song on there and went and snagged all thier stuff. I am absolutely digging these guys. I actually have them on MY myspace page now. Its a good thing too as i was getting discouraged lately with find new music i enjoyed.

The reason they are so good is because they are so unique in how they play.

Name almost anything before the 90's that isn't disco and most likely i listen to it (although there is stuff i can't stand, i like anything that's actually music). As for rap, that's a bit more limited, and i don't like new country, but old country is awesome. After the 90's it turns into stuff like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Weezer, newer stuff that older bands produced, you get the picture. If you saw my playlist it goes from Chuck Berry to Louis Prima to Black Flag to AC/DC and even Motorhead.

Oh yeah, i can't stand Blondie, my friend loves them (and Debby Harry) but i don't get why.

Wetwrks, i also listen to the kill bill soundtrack, though i deleted it from my computer to make room, but yeah, i love the spaghetti western music on it too.
