It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Don't worry, you can only get it once... I only buy her the bus ticket to come visit me on x-mas (12 hour drive by car). If i actualy bought her something other than that, it would probably be paintball related so that i get to keep it :smarty:.

I bought a pair of earrings... and had a friend of mine make a certificate that says they are worth $2500... when I paid like $40... lol... she loves the little touches like that...

And I am going to be home for Christmas.. so the GF is ecstatic over that... so maybe I will get a present! Bow chick bow bow!

After she sees the rock you've bought for her, I don't think she's gonna notice the other gifts. :p

She'll try to make me take it back, and fuss about spending money on her, she's just a thrifty type of person that rather have a big bank account that does nothing as opposed to actually enjoy some of it on herself. I generally have to force her to buy things on her own. her present is under the tree and im sure she's already worried that it cost more the $50.00.

the ring is as good for me as it will be her, I see it as extra insurance, like keeping other guys away, kinda like peeing on her, but she wouldnt let me do that.

Yeah, I think most of those chicks are over in Japan.

She sounds like a very practical woman. You play paintball together, is there anything else you like to do together that's not sports-related. (besides the obvious of course...)

We love movies, going to the theater that is.

She loves nintendo wii

We both oil paint, although she whoops my ***

We both do charcoal and ink drawings, (i whip her ***)

we went to college together under and and grad - (she whipped my *** 3.85gpa vs 3.5)

We like camping....i could go on and on

I think she is a female version of me in most cases(with tits and a much nicer ***), there are a few things we dont see eye to eye on as far as things we like to do.

Wow...that's a toughy. Maybe you could really show her how much she means to you by doing one of the things that you don't see eye-to-eye. Women love when they know that you are doing something specifically for them that you wouldn't normally do.

But that is precisely my point: you don't have to do it all the time, but just a few times around the holidays and she will see that you are making a HUGE effort to make her happy.

And shoes...there's the key. If she is a shoe fiend, as much a sit may kill you at the time, help her pick out some shoes when she's looking. She'll be butter in your hands.

You know i think that you guys sometimes forget that there is a female on this website that goes through and reads all the posts and sticks her two sense in when she feels necessary... Women do not become butter in your hands when you help them pick out shoes... At least I don't know any women who does... and if she does she needs some serious help.. there shoes who the hell cares and to be honest with you I wouldn't want a man picking out my shoes just on the point of which you just made.. Your not pickin them out because you really have an opinion your picking them out because your trying to butter her up... you'll have her walking around loooking like a complete idiot... just because her man wanted her to feel good... :twocents:

Or maybe I am just different... i am more of a dont bother me leave me be do wat you want and we shall be fine kinda girl... will i ask your opinion yeah maybe will i trust it completely no... do i want you to buy me a christmas present of course but use your mind.. be creative... don't go out and spend $100 on a pair of earrings that i will never wear... if your around me everyday and speak to me everyday... you know what i like you know what i don't like... think about it and use your heads that are at the top and you will come up with something that will be satisfying to her needs and in the end your needs :D:D

I think women are from venus, and you could get them what you think they wanted, and what you heard them talk about to their mother, then on the day they get it it could totally change. The thread was more of a random search to see what others were doing while compiling a mental list for future purchases. Being i have been with the same girl since i was 15, and married to her for almost 11 years, it begins to get difficult.

My list is kinda simple... XM or Sirius radio and the DVD collection of Planet of the Apes...

Don't ask, unless you really want the answer!

Rules for giving gifts to women -- By Dean "MedicDVG" Goulet as based on painful experience. :smarty:

Note: No animals were hurt in the production of this list... though I tried.

1) When a woman says "I really don't want anything. I have you and that is enough", you have two responses available:

a) Smile lovingly at your beau and say "Ok dear, if that is what you really want" -- after which you will need to change your name to "cheap bastard" and live on the couch until 'she' decides that don't have to any more. Usually about 6 months or until you have provided sufficient groveling and went out and bought her something anyway....

or...

b) ignore her devious denials of material greed and buy the sparkliest bling bling thing that she has been hinting about for months. Of course you can't afford it even if you sell all your blood and a kidney, but somehow you do it anyway... at which point she will beam at you and call you "sweet and thoughtful" as your financial lifeblood pours out on the floor in an ever increasing pool of insolvency and the ephemeral concept that you are doing something 'special'. You get to sleep in the bed and you may even get some, but she now expects you to pamper her every single holiday or event that comes down the pike...

(ASIDE: Note guys! Most women do NOT appreciate Home Depot gift cards so they can buy that Vacuum cleaner they 'always wanted.')

any way you look at it, you are doomed...:wall:

Exactly. To each her own. Works for some and not for others.

I'd reccomennd Bed Bath and Beyond. My wife loves that store when I get dragged into the store all I see is a pile of stuff I have no need for. Her on the other hand loves the place household furnishing bedding etc, etc..

I usually get my wife a piece of jewelry for Christmas and find she'll appreciate the gift. However she only wears these items. One 1/2 ct TDW White Gold Stud Earrings these set me back a pile of $ but she knows what quality studs are so no cheap crap. One set of White Gold hinged hoop earrings.
She has about 12 sets of earrings and these are worn about 99% of the time.
She wears her weddding ring and that's it. She has about 10 watches and likes to change them according to the outfit.

Here's my gift list for my wife of 9 years
1. Fancy waffle maker from Bed Bath and Beyond. $50
2. Another set of earrings maybe if I find something that catches my eye. $100-$250
3. Another ladies Skagen watch probably their new Kaffe' color with rose gold trim. This should be about $125
4. A gift card for bed bath and beyond for $50.

yeah bath and body works is always a good and appreciated choice and they have such great deals at Christmas on packaged deals of soap lotion spritz and loofas

Yeah she loves Bath and Body works too, she spent over $50 to buy a robe for another $30 for a christmas gift. Most ladies enjoy the smelly stuff as I call it. :smarty: A nice robe if she doesn't have a good one already or those supersized fluffy bath towels. Beware of the towels she'll probably expect you to replace all of them.:wall: So the new ones will match

We don't waste the money on gifts for each other. What we usually but is something that does not get used. Buy a few for the kids. If we need something we usually just go get it. That way it is something that gets used.
