On a serious note, I have always wanted to go to Thailand.
Wherever you choose to go, I will be supremely jealous.

Just save yourself the money and time and go to a gay bar.
the Silver stirrup or the poop chute does sound like an interesting night :ooo:
Off topic, when i worked retail at best buy, i had gay men try and hit on me a lot. Its common, in HS people thought i was gay. I find it downright funny, i guess i put off a vibe.

Wow, this post went south fast.....
There are a lot of places that you could go, but have to be concerned as you are an American. Unfortunatly for us, we are not very popular abroad. My suggestion would be a tour of the UK and Europe. Considerably less expensive, and you could avoid a good portion of the language barrier. Spain is going through a bit of a thing right now. Just had a friend come back from there and he said it was tense. Of course the French just hate Americans anyway, and will be rude as hell.
Watching a show the other day and it was saying that since western Europe opened there are a lot of jewels to see there. They also mentioned Brazil....but beware taking the wife there. Many REALLY hot and agressive women there who don't care if you are married or not.
Some parts of Mexico are nice as well, so long as you stay on the resorts, but of course that doesn't really qualify as trip of a lifetime by any means.

Thailand can be incredible. There are tons of things to see and do and if you get slightly off the beaten track you can stay in a 4 star hotel for dirt cheap. I am talking $50-75 a nite. I mean you could still stay at the Hard Rock or something and pay $350/nite like some, but there are incredible prices to be had. If you like temples, jungle and a bit of adventure there is a ton of that there.
The down side is that American immigration can be a pain when you come back. Thailand is also known for its trade in all things illicit, be it chemical or flesh. You may get some grief coming back through customs into the US, but for the most part it isn't that bad.
Many people from our company 'retire' to Thailand, buy a huge house for $15,000, staff it with a domestic staff, and live like kings.

The one place I really want to go is Greece. There is still some of the extended family over there and it would be great to see the village that my family comes from. I hear that it is a great place to go for touristy stuff too if you stick to the coast, cities, and islands. I am going to go after I finish with school for good.
