I stumble accross a couple of authors that I picked up at the MWR...
Lee Child -- kind of a more believable rogue warrior type, not so Marcinko macho. Good plots, and some realistic storylines.
Vince Flynn -- his series is quite good. Again, in a spec-ops save the world from terrorists read.
I could think of more, but I cleaned off my book shelf in anticipation of packing for home..

I started reading Tom Clancy's books when I was in college, and have been addicted ever since. Started with the 'Jack Ryan' series.
Read the "I Am Legend" book last weekend. Was good but rather short. I definitely want to see the movie to find out how they adapted the book for the film.

It's written by Richard Matheson and was first published way back in 1954. Matheson also contributed many of the stories for the "Twilight Zone" shows.
I liked the book a lot. Only about 159 pages, so it was a quick read. The author actually tried to explain the cause of the 'vampirism' and its effects, instead of just saying it was 'from the devil', like most books of that genre.
The paperback copy I picked up also has about 8 or 9 of his other short stories.

I am goofy about books. I really could not care less about who wrote it. I'll read if if it seems interesting to me. The last book I read was The End of Alice. That was a great book, although it was disturbing. I also read Zombie and American Psycho. These were all for a class. I really like all of them quite a bit. I have way to many on my  and  lists to list.
