Hello everyone, I am looking at purchasing a new Viking and Excalibur from Destructive Customs. I was wondering how much weight would be taken off with all the milling that could be done at Destructive Customs?

How much does a Featherlight Viking weigh? How about the Tarantula milled Vikings? Thanks in advance.

I will have to search for my scale to weigh a few of mine for you. Honestly if your going by marker weight, a DC FSP Viking or Tarantula Viking would be the lightest. Then if you did a thin tray mod and added a Dye UL frame, it would be even lighter. Though there are alot of folks who do not like the looks of the frame.

I do not know how much total weight is removed. Im not even sure what a stock viking or Excal weighs.

DC FSP milled 04 Viking can get as low as 1.50lbs
DC'd 04 Viking can get as low as 2.0lbs
Tarantula'd 04's can get anywhere in between the two above figures.
Standard Featherlights are actually heavier than all 3 o the above, but only slightly.

There are TONS of fully milled '04 Vikes on the Market right now, take a look around the BST sections.

Well the ul framed tarantula w/ battery, air fittings, on/off asa and barrel weighed in at 2.1 pounds.

The Valhalla w/ same battery, same air fittings, same on/off asa and same barrel weighed in at 2.6 pounds.

Ok stripping the marker of the fibur barrel, on/off asa, air fittings and battery saves about 10 oz. I took these weights from a digital postal scale but wish I had another scale to confirm this.

UL Framed/Thin tray Tarantula Viking - 1.7 oz
Valhalla Viking - 1.12 oz

Thanks for taking the time to measure your markers A-Tach. I definitely will get a Viking soon and maybe get all the milling done.

Those are some light vikings. Cant wait to get my Loki Viking done. See if i can get close to the lightest title.

I think you mean

1LB 7 OZ for the Tarantula
1LB 12 OZ for the Valhalla

Gun weights are confusing as they get tossed around and its hard to know what components are on the gun when weighed.

Yeah that's what I meant.

Typically I weigh a marker with everything on it but hopper and tank. That's the important number to me. But some wanted to know what they weighed without the other goodies.
