Ok, who here has the pinball "problem"?

I collect some of the more interesting examples, such as Addams Family, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Pinbot, etc.

etjoyride... The new house has a VERY large rec room designed into it. I want space to place a pool table, all of the pins and pachinkos, in addition to the various bits of Americana I have in storage.

TNDeathInc... The main reason I purchased the Addams was I'd play the crap outta the local ones, and realized that at $5 or more a play session, it was cheaper to own one. :)

I promise to post some pictures after the New Year, when I have time to pull the next restoration project out and do some work on it.

We had an old mechanical pinball machine down in the student union of the college I attended for a while.. It was so easy to win free balls and free games that you basically just stood in line for when whomever got tired of playing let you have the machine. If you had to put money in the machine it was becuase someone unplugged it by accident.

A couple of the electromechanical (EM) machines I have are rediculously easy to win extra balls/credits.

Kinda funny... Pinball machines were considered gambling devices in many places, and they went to "add a ball" (Extra ball) instead of free games to try and skirt the laws.

^ I didn't know that.

How can it be gambling if you don't ever actually gain any money?

It isn't, except that places in our country made laws that made pinball machines gambling devices...
