First I think that Gladiator Paintball is a pretty nice field and definitely a place that our group would return to in the future. They have lots of fields to choose from and even not being able to play the airball most of the day, there were plenty of other really nice fields including that concrete culvert field, the spools and the “wall” field. The fields also had lots of wonderful furry targets that thought they did not need to run when I showed up and blasting the heck out of them as they ran the field was freaking sweet and I wish it had been captured on camera. The place is flat and that means no hills to walk up which is always good, and the parking lot and staging area is more or less centrally located around fields. They fill to 4500psi (ok only 4000psi all day for some reason but still) and the field paint only was not the horrid crap that I was afraid it would be. Those of you who shot the Bronze I understand that worked pretty well and the paint being fresh probably helped.

The field owner was pretty nice and accommodating and even though the ref we got was like 13 years old and afraid to venture out on the field to make reffing calls he was a cool guy because he filled my air tanks for me and that makes him totally awesome when I think about it… none of you wretches would do that for me!

Other than the heat I think that it was a great day. I think the thing I liked most about the fields was that many of them were really large and you could have a relaxing day of play if you wanted, which come to think of it was probably why Jared never even got close to me much less into bunkering range; The fields were just too large.

Now I know you don’t believe me but it doesn’t matter because this time I have video proof that my being late was NOT my fault! NONE I am innocent! I told them to hurry and that we had no time for breakfast and that we needed to go in those double gates, but I was undermined at every turn and later this week you shall see the proof! I will be vindicated.

I would again like to thank you all for coming out. We had several new faces and that makes me happy. As you can (now) see we got a CRAP ton of images, by FAR the most images of any paintball day to date. To Cory’s wife, Chris, Mighty Mike, Jared, A-Tach and anyone else who filmed of took stills, it’s because of you that we have so many killer shots. Again, thank you to Mighty Mike who used HIS CC and put the payment down for those 20 cases of paint. HE tells me that he got all the money back so that worked out well and thank you all for bringing the money to give to him. I would again like to thank Chris not only for taking pictures but for driving all the way down from SF and picking up all 4 of us on the way. That Suburban was like driving in the clouds. I’m just sorry that the trip back wasn’t fun for you (hope you are felling better)

wow that is a kickass series of shots. I actually remember that, I was walking off and I hear the shots going past and none of them actually hit me I just assumed that whoever was shooting would stop and let me by... guess that was a foolish though eh?

Status update on images. I have called Cory and Mike, both of whom are recovering. I will try and convince them to get on an IM app so I can start getting their images. As of this moment I have downloaded 1.45 Gigs of the 3 Gigs of images that Chris ALONE shot at the game. It should be done sometime tonight. If I can get Mike and Cory to do the IM thing tonight I can bet that I will have most of the images before tomorrow evening.

I have to say that by FAR this is the most photographed game to date and the entire collection might break the 5 Gig mark... 5 freaking gigs of photos how cool is that. I say if we all have to wait those of you who have the images should at least post the interesting ones while we wait...

I am just now waking up from my coma. My body is still in a state of complete exhaustion. I can barely walk, both calf muscles are painfully strained, almost died of heat stroke, and if we were to have another Z-Day next weekend, I would gladly pack up my gear and join you guys again!! Thats how much fun I had playing paintball with everyone this past Saturday. Big Ups to Zak for organizing and setting up this event!! Paintball would not be as fun w/out you being in charge. Thanks again to everyone who was shooting something other than a gun, the photos are great, a lot of good action. Hopefully next time I can convince my wife (who is a photographer) to get out there and snap a few.

The real reason I sold it was, for no other reason, no dislike of the marker, no fault, I concluded I wanted something new for the sake of something new (new being different not recently manufactured). Now in my old age, that would mean buying another marker and keeping the old one knowing that my love for it would return. However, that SFL was lots of money... arguably as much money as all my other markers are today and I had issues leaving that to lay around.

So I watched all the video yesterday and have been decoding it today. We might need to go the zainey rout with it because well... it's a little lacking in the "interesting" part. Oh there is lot's of footage, but umm not so much lots of footage that you would care to watch... except for the drive in that was good :). Editing will begin in earnest tomorrow. The anti-biotices I got for my root canal will kick in then and I can get of this crappy pain killer.

In the mean time go find me all the images we need for the banner because those need to be cut down as well.

The problem is that I was wearing the wrong shoes so they didn't properly counterbalance my lean at full extension. The shoes I was wearing were 11 grams off and it made the whole day of play pretty rough.

I knew that hit was going to haunt me somehow. It was the only time that day I got gogged. I could barely see after I was walking off, but I could see that there were about 3 cameras where I was walking and that at least one of them would get me either with a facefull of paint or what you see there. Hey, I'm just honored that I made the banner. Hopefully the next one will be of me doing something way cooler. :wthumpup:

no, it's the propensity of computer geeks to procratinate til the very last minute on projects that are deemed important. Video games and general shennanagans occur before this event and cause undue grief to parties waiting for said product. The same can be stated for air smithing services as well, maybe the aforementioned videos will be processed by x-mas lest they become vapor ware.
