Well, building my first mag ever, and I have to say its a dang good start so far. Just got the latest piece in today, so I figured its about time to show her off.

Here's the list of everything so far on it:

-Ripper Body
-DW Dallara Rail
-Cerberus Airwalk Frame V2
-RPG Stick Grip
-RPG Sub-Zero Feedneck
-Angel Detents
-AKA Javelin Barrel (One of my all time favorite barrels)

It has an X-valve w/ ULT, Viperblade trigger, and a sleeper pneu system in line for it in the near future. I'm thinking a Cheater pneumag system if I can make it compatable. And it needs an anno job sometime too, maybe a black and lime green acid wash

And who makes the Ripper body anyways?

So.. what do you guys think?

XmagTerror or something similar made them. I purchased one of the first ones, and had problems with the interior milling. I wasn't too happy.

IMO it needs to get the front of the body chopped off if your keeping it with that rail. just my :twocents:

QFT on this.

Im not a fan of that trigger frame but everyone has there own preference. I always see these bodies in raw condition but when I do see them ano'd, they look best in acid wash colors. There is already a green and black acid wash ano'd ripper body out there just so you know.

Yea I actually stumbled across that Ripper Emag (has the matching Ripper Rail too). I can get a link if someone wants it.

But I've decided I'm going to be making my own ripper rail to match this gun better in the shop. I'm going to leave the length on it Emag length until I decide if I like it better as that or as an AM/MM length, so all I'd have to do is chop it in the end. And I'm going to be milling the snatch grip off the back of the frame too once I finish up the rail. Hopefully I can get that rail done fairly soon

That should look good. IMO the one thing that a ripper is missing is a matching rail (I know xt made some, but IMO they did not match right). If you make/design one I am sure others will want to purchase a few.

Actually on actual Emag's I think XM's rail matched very well. Here is a link to them:

If you go to the last post, there is a very nice Ripper Emag at the bottom and I think the rail matches perfectly.

The front looks incomplete. other than that it looked good.

Ive always been a big fan of the Dallara. It seems to go with *almost* everything.

With that said, I have to agree with the others sentiments that have posted.

I think the most enjoyable part of a build is the build itself regardless of the parts.

Well just finished drawing and programming my own Ripper Rail I'm going to make. I'll post up some jpg's of it tonight so you guys can comment.

I'd echo some of the other sentiments here.. needs a longer rail IMO and a different foregrip. They are nice parts though, great pick up for your first mag.

Are you planning to get it all annoed to match?

Here's a link to the Ripper Rail thread I just made:

Yes I'm thinking like a lime green/black acid wash of everything.

Cool, if it turns out like that ripper Emag I think it'll look sweet.

Thats the plan, just a Pneumag instead :)

As long as you enjoy the final product, then more power to you. I never cared for the Ripper myself and I had a V1 Airwalk. I couldn't get over how much I hated the feel of the grip.

The Airwalks definitely have their own "personalitly" to them, but luckily for me I like it so its not a big deal :)
