Hey:

Well, with the market already over-saturated with electronic markers-I am looking for something to use as a new beater.

I'd like to purchase new or used an electronic marker to bring tot he field with me on the everyday. I'm looking for something that will give me reliability, reasonable efficiency, and consistency.

I've thought about these but I am more than welcome to take other ideas since I rarely play with an electro nor do I keep up on the market:

Viking or Excalibur
DM
Angel
E-tek

Just curious as to what you guys think I should use.

Thanks again,

-ClassicMagger

Emag?

But from what you listed, maybe the Viking or Excal.

How about a Mini? Ive heard nothing but good things about them.

AKA or and OLDER Angel. The A1's are garbage.

I have heard good things of the mini and the DP fusion.. not ultra cheap, yet not bank breakers either.

I have a mini, and i like it. I am fond of angels, round these parts noone has them that i can see. then again of all the ones you listed you really cant go wrong.

AKA all the way. ill even trade you one for some nice mag parts. Just got a nice PBX back from Jared. perfect for a beater. Looks ugly but will keep up with about anything out there. Plus all you have to do is drop a few drops of oil in her and she is happy.

Have you considered an 06 or 07 Cyborg? It's a very reliable marker from a great company. And you can get them used for decent prices.

I just purchased an 06 cyborg from Pneumagger. I must say, it's much better than I expected. Even nicer, nothing to upgrade, top notch right away. I just picked up a mini as well. needs a roller bearing trigger and I'm not as excited to play with that as I am the Cyborg!
(of course I do still have my 4 mags =_=)

Forget about Angel the ones that I have owned (5) never really satisfied me.

My DM 5 and my two DMCs have been the most reliable guns I have owned. They have never let me down and also never chopped a ball. Still own all 3 of them for this reason. My son would never put the DMC down until I built the Emaggos. Those are his favorites now.......:evillaugh:

I have only owned my Vike for 7 months and only used it twice so I can't really give an honest opinion but their reputation speaks for itself. That was the reason I bought the Vike in the first place.

Vikings and Angels are very similar. I have used and very much enjoy both. If you go with an Angel get the G7, its the best thing they offer. Replace the stock barrel with something large bore and make sure to check the stock LPR pressure or replace it with an adjustable.
I really liked my Viking as well. Great marker with superb reliability.

WDP just got bought out by KEE, so parts might be a bother for a while. Who knows what direction that will go. I understand everything Angel related is kinda in limbo right now.

I have a Mini, and its awesome. My primary for tourney use, and the occasional ramping game.

Beware the DM's in cold weather. They can act funny, especially w/o the proper lube.

How much are you looking to spend? Have you thought of the new Proto SLG? Simple design, light weight, smooth reponse and not too much kick for around $250. I've shoot a couple Minis and they are indeed great markers...

I would look at the DP F8 or the Mini both are great and relatively cheap. If you want to spend alittle more then the Protege is a great choice.

You might also want to check out the Quest.

angels are so cheap right now. GL on the emag, seems like they have gone up a bit in price. I bet a b2k4 w/ PDS can be had for cheap as well as a promaster. There are tons of great electros out right now that are stupid cheap. GZ timmy?

I'd say AKA or older angel, if you insist on staying away from the emag.

Think Viking, ir3 or EP Mag (eyes on that with a lvl 7 and you'll almost never have to tune it)
