Id like to hear what you all think is going to happen this next year. Will things get better, worse, or stay the same...and why?

Inflatable baggie fields will become more boring than ever because of aggtastic attitudes dominating new players out of the sport.
Scenario will become bigger yet more generic and predictible with Smart Parts making a big push to sell tactically craptastic ***'s.

I think it'll be right on the boarder of staying the same and getting better. Now that companys are looking out for B&M stores more that'll help, and some of the top pros speaking out against the aggletts will help alittle. I think it'll be a very slow recovery but I think it'll start.

I predict things will stay the same. Pump will catch on just a bit more, continuing its slow rise in popularity.

I Agree^^^ I think pump is riding a big wave here where I am.

If we see pump continue to grow, how long before one of the big players starts making $50 crap-tastic pump markers?

You must have missed
the Talon, the Targa(i think it was called), im sure theyr were a few others. but there have been cheap plastic horrible pumps as well, they are not immune.
Im hoping for a pump rise, as thatl help my biz ofcourse :)
Thins are going to stay the same, improvements may seem to happen but probly in reality things will be the same but with a percieved improvement.
with the lack of new gear companies are going to start pushing new angels other than fast, or image, maybe some major companies will be pushing markers as Reliable?:evillaugh:
companies moving more away from the LP and regs and moving toward HP markers or ONE reg markers like a mag, mini, slg, etc
--il probly add more

Of course I meant the big players like Dye, Planet Eclipse, ** who will make a crap-tastic pump and market it as a Pro level marker.:nana:

but thats not what u said:sticktongue:
its like anything else, if it is selling they will join in on the party, im surprised they havent to be honest seeing the decent #'s cci and ccm are doing
i wouldnt mind seeing what DYE, PE, KEE would throw in to the pump arena myself.
the phantom is about as good as it gets, and if thats not your style theres the chipleys, and cocker pumps

I think everything will stay pretty much the same on the macro scale. On the micro scale, i finally stopped denying it and have accepted that i can't afford an new HPA tank this year and will have to go back to CO2.

Agreed on both accounts. Unfortunately, ** has seen and correctly interpreted the trend that a lot of growth in paintball will be in the scenario area. Cheaper, lower end Ions are already out. Fortunately, the groups I run with recognize ** for what it is and shun their products.

You can pick up a used but recently hydro'd metal tank for $60.00, less than a case of good paint.

i predict things are gonna get better, i mean there is still gonna be the BS stuff going on but i think it will get better, new boards, new pumps and several other new things should help. I do see a bigger rise in the pump and woodsball area, especially where i play. we started out with about 6 of us in the 90's and we have had about 100 out at one time.

I look for speed ball to become less popular and woodsball to become more popular. I also forsee all the big leagues banning any mode of fire that isnt semi auto. /end hope
I dont see much changing, cheap electro's will dominate the market and money will be made in creating aftermarket parts for those markers. Playing wise, nothing will change sadly. :(

If i had my way things would go back to how they were, from the stories i've heard it was a lot more fun and a much better time to be in the sport.

My predictions? This is what I'm seeing in my area. A few more brick and mortar stores are going to close. Gio (onwer sc village)will expand beyond giant, hsp, and sc village and create a bigger stranglehold in the socal paintball scene. Although I do not like his business practices I can respect the man for trying to expand out of the markets he's in right now. I just don't know if that would be good for paintball in the longrun.
