How many of you(or your wives, gf's, mom's, etc) are finished with the majority of your X-mas shopping?

And is the budget for this years shopping more or less than last year?

I haven't bought or spent a damn thing towards Christmas...life is interrupting. I'm chancing jobs and moving to a different city a whole state away in just two weeks. I've got to fund that before I can fund Christmas. My gifts might be late :D

Same for me... The wife moved out after the divorce :happydance: so she is responsible for buying presents this year for her offspring...

The GF is just happy I am coming home soon... and my mom gets her standard Diabetic Cherry Cordials that I get her every year..

I have no idea what to get my dad, but I haven't for 20+ years or more..

So I have bought some great paintball related stuff for myself... and plane tickets to Tunaball p. Deux !!

I hate christmas pretty much anyway... so it is a present to my self not to spend $1000's on presents.:glare:

We're done, wrapped and under the tree.... spent about the same as last year. Everything was purchased on-line and delivered to our door. Living down the street from a major mall, I hate driving during the holidays as there are too many mall dwellers on the road and traffic in my neighboorhood is horrible... lol...

First... My Christmas shopping was completed on Friday, December 6! That is a first for me! Normally I am looking for something on Christmas Eve.

Second, I spent about twice as much this year as I did last year.

I'm one of the kids in the family, but gifts always stay around the same price range per a child once they hit about 12

Spending is slightly less this year. Don't have the girlfriend, so that freed up a huge wad. But I decided to use that toward more gifts for the family.

Here are some interesting piece of information...where did you fit in?

Consumers, battered by harsh economic crosswinds, spent less in December than at any time in the past 15 months while applications for unemployment benefits soared last week, two more signs the economy is weakening.

The Commerce Department reported Thursday that consumer spending edged up just 0.2 percent in December -- the year's peak shopping season -- down sharply from a 1 percent gain in November. It was the weakest performance in this area since spending fell by 0.1 percent in September 2006.
