Has anyone removed the molded rubber from an RT PRO fore grip? Pics?

I asked years ago but... Can this be made into a gas thru? It has threads at the bottom, but I think would need to be drilled/tapped on one of the sides. (I would not be using that stainless steel mounting bracket.

Thanks

The RPG Stick Grip was a Classic RT grip, which is very similar to the RT Pro.

The only difference between them is the gas-thru option and a little more taken off of the top 3/4". Youll notice on the bottom of that grip, they started the gas-thru hole.

The grip is a pain to get off. It has a lip at the very top that fits into a groove on the foregrip mandrel. The grips were molded onto the mandrel, they werent slipped on(so I was told). Which is why getting them off is a pain-in-the-butt.

Can it be done...I say yes. Is it worth doing...not in my opinion.

I googled RPG stick grip but no luck OUT OF STOCK. Are there some for sale with out the rubber? I do not want the rubber.

If not I may just have to get my RT PRO modified. I want a straight tube fore grip that can be ano'd. Everything at actionvillage is to curvy for what I'm looking for.

Style would be similar to the reg on an 06 Cyborg. (but obvisously not regulated)
