It's too bad that we cant execute thieves, it would certainly cut down on repeat offenses.

im not huge on the whole eye for an eye thing... not every crime deserves equal recompensation

however in this case, i think the thief deverves to have the victim cut off his (the thief) pinky

maybe with some old and dull pruning snips.. the kinda ya have to "chew" on the branch with if its too think?

I like your idea...but would suggest cutting off the thieves penii, so that they can not reproduce and bring more criminals into this world.

I like the idea of having him go and do the man's typing for him for hours a day for as long as he would have needed that finger. Heck they can send dictation into prison where he will have lots of time to get it done. Then he can enjoy his victims voice while he rots and recompenses.

Of course when we find out he had a starving kid at home that was a victim of the business man's company and he was desperate to feed her lest she die . . . eh lets just hope they catch him and someone in the legal system sets it straight.
